"Hello, brother."
"What took you so long?"
A small gasp escaped Wu's mouth. His hand tightened around the katana.
The red sky was filled with thunder clouds. The ground was damp even though it was dry stone. For miles, it was just a dark desert of hills and wilting trees. This place lacked very little life."You've brought the katana from our youth." Lord Garmadon didn't even have to turn around to sense the damned thing's presence. "Funny. You never had the courage to cross the temple walls, and yet you have the courage to come here?"
"Why have you come to this place of darkness?" Wu asked.
"It's a place as wicked as me." Wu wanted to say the opposite, that his brother wasn't wicked, or evil, or cursed, but he didn't have the words. There was no convincing themselves that Garmadon was the same man he was before.
"Don't you see? Here, I feel at home.""You have a home, brother. Back at the Monastery." Wu sighed. If only it were possible to change that day- the day Garmadon was bitten. Wu would change their places in a second.
Garmadon laughed. "That was hardly a home, more of an open prison."
"I…" Wu sighed, looking down at the ground. "I am sorry, brother."
Garmadon went quiet. Then he finally turned around, revealing all four arms. "Sorry won't cut it, brother."
Wu gasped. "You came here only to possess the four weapons of spinjitzu!?"
"Of course! What other reason would I come here?"
"To escape!? Get away!? I don't know!?"
'Get control of yourself, Wu.' He could hear his late father say.
'Calm yourself, before I do it for you.'He is calm. As calm as he can be.
Garmadon looked at his brother- at Wu, intrigued. Never had he seen Wu so out of place before. It felt good.
Did it? Yes it did.
Wu sighed.
"This is no time to fight, brother." Wu said, calmly yet sternly.
"I've come on pressing matters concerning-""What would concern my dear little brother so much that he'd come out of his way to visit his hell bound kin?" Garmadon interrupted, seemingly lost in his own sarcasm and letting his personal grudges get to him.
"Hm…""Brother-"
"Oh! Perhaps you've come to enlighten me on your newly discovered Green Ninja." Garmadon laughed. "He may have defeated Samukai, Wu, but he won't be so lucky when I find him."
"Green Ninja?" His ninja weren't ready to take on such a role. Wu didn't know they defeated Samukai, his boys were quite open- no, quite egotistical about their wins.
"Yes, the one you sent out to defeat my Skulkin patrols a while back, curious how you'd know we'd be there."
"Garmadon…" There was no brother. Wu used his name, which meant this meant urgency.
"My ninja are nowhere near the level of being the Green Ninja; and I don't send them out on solo missions."It probably wasn't the best idea to reveal these facts to the enemy- his brother.
But, this was different.Wu doubts his brother would lie about this, despite the evil running through Garmadon's blood. This means there might be a Green Ninja running around, which adds some hope onto a list of problems.
Garmadon laughed.
"So, you're telling me you have a lone, prophesied ninja running around that you have no idea existed!?"Wu was too busy trying to piece this new information together to tolerate his brother's nonsense.
