I was dreaming again.
As I opened my eyes, I was once again greeted by the light blue sky.
I was back.
Getting up, I brushed the dirt off my clothes. My eyes drank in the beautiful sight before me.
Everything still looked the same as ever, the trees still in the various shades of red orange and yellow, the ground littered with leaves, the sun still up in the sky. I was indeed back.
"Hello?''I called out carefully as I scanned the area. Was the boy still here? He wasn't anywhere in sight.
No one answered, so I figured the boy must be elsewhere. Or that maybe he wasn't here at the moment.
Well, since I was already here,I might as well explore. Who knew the next time I would get a chance?
Heading straight, I ventured into the woods, cautiously walking in between the trees. They were really pretty, the way the leaves danced in whatever imaginary wind was blowing. Since this is a place my mind made up, I guessed it knew autumn was my favourite season. The trees really were the prettiest then, and I loved to sit outside to paint them.
Up in the distance, I spotted something peeking out from the trees. It looked like the roof of a house. The boy had to be there! Was this where he lived?
Picking up speed, I hurriedly walked towards the roof.
As I neared, the details of the house became clearer. I managed to make out white walls and a brown thatched roof. The house itself was in a clearing. I spotted a wooden outdoor swing bench by its front porch. It was a really gorgeous house.
When I reached, I tentatively walked up the steps to the front door and gave it a sharp knock.
"Hello?''I called out loudly, ''Anybody in here?''
No one answered, so I knocked a few more times, but it seems no one was here. Maybe the boy was out or something.
I didn't know if I should let myself in or wait outside. If this really was the boy's house, it would be rude to just let myself in.
Deciding to wait a little while longer, I circled around the house. It had large square windows adorned by the side. Curiosity got the better of me, so I peeked in to see how the interior looked like. At least I tried to. Curtains with beautiful white daisies on them hung by the windows. Curtains that blocked the view. I moved onto the next window to no avail.
I was so busy trying to peek in that I didn't notice when rain started to fall. The raindrops gently pelted me, reminding me I had to take cover or I'll get drenched. Not wanting to get soaked with rain,I ran towards the front porch to seek shelter. This dream was really vivid.
As I reached the front porch, I wondered if I should let myself in again. The rain was now pouring, even worse than today's rain, and the strong wind was blowing some of the cold rain towards me. I rubbed the sleeves of my windbreaker as I felt goosebumps forming along my arms. It was getting extremely cold. Good thing my clothes from reality transported over to my dream.
However the rain was getting stronger, and even my windbreaker couldn't protect me from the raging storm. Even on the porch, I was getting soaked. I was well aware that this was just a dream, but I still felt pretty miserable standing in the cold wet rain. My teeth started chattering uncontrollably.
Well, I think I had better head in. I don't want to be stuck here for the entire storm. It would be extremely awful. Besides, I'm sure the boy wouldn't mind since it was raining so heavily. I could always say I came here seeking shelter from the awful storm. He couldn't say no to that right?
