                          Jacquelyn's pov :
"I told you, this is your last time to just tell me the fucking truth Derek!" I yell at him.

"I already told you where I was, you're just being crazy. Are you on your period or something?" Derek responds. Derek is a gaslighting prick who I've been married to for just over 10 years. He's 6'1, dark short hair and brown eyes. He's built very well, but such an asshole. I know he's been cheating on me, but this time I have video proof. I just want him to come out and tell me himself.

"I swear Derek, you're still a boy. I know you were out cheating on me. I'm done. We're done. I want a divorce!" I say as calmly as I can must out.

"What the fuck are you talking about Jacquelyn, I'm not cheating on you. You're just insecure. Grow up!" He starts yelling at me. I unlock my iPhone XR and pull up the video. Tossing him the phone so he can see for himself. "This was so long ago, can't you tell this was before you?" He says. Gaslighting me again.

"I've believed you everytime something like this has happened, but no more. That tattoo on your right shoulder blade you got that 3 years ago. So no matter if it happened 3 years ago or recently. You still cheated, we're done." I say walking away to go grab my bags I had previously packed while he was out.

"Okay it was a mistake, I love you. I didn't mean to do it it just happened." He's pleading to me.

"Oh shut it, you don't love me. You never did. You resent me because I can't have kids. You know that I know that. Goodbye Derek, you'll hear from my lawyer." I say grabbing the cold damp door knob and walking out. It was snowing, but I was so heated I couldn't even feel the cold air blowing on me.

I walk straight to my car and start it so I can get my thoughts in order. I can't think straight, my mind is going a thousand miles per hour right now. I pass by my old friend while driving. The one place I know I can think at. The gym.

I walk into the gym, thank goodness I decided to wear leggings and a cropped hoodie. Perfect to workout in. I grab my headphones and hurry inside before my brain falls out of my head. I starting working out. I grab the bar to bench my low weight. It's cold, ice cold. One. Two. Three. I breathe out. Four. Five. Six. "Excuse me" I hear barely because of the blaring music in my ears.

I put the bench bar back on the rack and take out one headphone. "I'm sorry to bother you, you're just so pretty and well your vibe seems really cool. I'm Skylar, but you can call me sky." She says over enthusiastically.

"Um. Hi I'm Jacquelyn, you can call me J." I say to the pretty blonde slender woman in front of me. She has to be around the same age as me. 25/26. "Well this I really weird, but I'm having small get together with my friends tonight and I'd like to invite you." She says to me with a bright smile.

"Ummm.. I don't really know you." I say hesitantly.

"I know I know, but you just seem really nice. And I can always use a new friend. Here take my number just in case you decide to come. Shoot me a message. Maybe see you later." She tells me as she hands me a piece of paper with a number on it.

I shove it in my leggings pocket and continue my workout. Thinking about everything. I spent my whole highschool and college with a guy who ended up cheating on me I'm sure the whole time. How I don't have anybody in my life, since both my parents have passed and the one friend I did have was one of the girls my husband slept with. Maybe I should go to that friend thing tonight. Meet some new friends.
