Dean

When I woke up the next day, I was surprised to see that I was actually not slaughtered by Lily. Sitting up, I noticed she wasn't sitting on the couch, but when I looked behind me, she was leaning against the wall next to the curtains.

"Told you I wouldn't kill you." Lily said.

Rolling my eyes, I looked at the time. "Yeah, but it doesn't mean you won't."

"And I'm not surprised you said that." She said, walking over to the couch to sit down.I sat on the edge of the bed, giving her a serious look.

"What exactly did you tell Sam about this virus?"

"Don't you already know all about it? Because like I told him, your dad pretty much said everything there is to it."I felt myself tense up as she mentioned him. I'll never forget what happened that day in the hospital, no matter how long ago it was.

"We're not talking about him." I said, glaring at her.

"Why? Is it because he's dead?" Lily asked, and I sprang up, walking up to her.

"You wanna shut up?" I demanded, just as I heard Sam wake up. I looked over to him.

"Oh hey, someone I can actually deal with is awake." She said, giving me the look.Sam groaned as he sat up, giving us a serious look through his tired eyes.

"Can you guys just get along? I mean seriously...I get the fact that she's a vampire..but maybe she's not a bad one at all." He said, looking at me as he said it. "You're just not caring."

"Damn straight, I'm not." I said, sitting back down on my bed. "Since when do we give a crap about monsters, Sammy?"

"Guys, enough!" Lily said, her eyes bright blue. "Look, if you don't want my help, I don't give a shit. I'll leave you to your fates as Sam dies and you, Dean, are on your own fighting this virus!"

My eyes widened, not really having anything to say after that.

"You'll help us." Sam said before I thought of something, and I glared at him. "This virus isn't gonna get any better for me so..."

She smirked, patting my brother's shoulder, making me tense up. Shaking my head, I put my shoes on and headed out of the room, needing to cool down for a little bit.Honestly, why can't it be a normal person instead of a freaking vampire? It's kind of weird for Sam to trust her, but then again, he is infected so he'll trust anything at this point. When I stepped outside, I jumped a little as I saw Cass standing by the Impala.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, walking up to him.

"Sam is getting worse." Cass said.

"Yeah, I've noticed, captain obvious."

He gave me a serious look. "You need to trust her, Dean. She isn't as bad as you think."

I scoffed. "Yeah, why? I don't trust things we hunt, Cass."

"Well you should." Cass said. "She knows more than your dad taught you both. Plus, Sam is very close to dying and becoming a Croatoan. And I know it is not what you want to hear." He added before I could protest. "But it is true. And in order to survive, you have to trust her, or things will end badly."

"What, is she suddenly the answer to cure the virus from the whole world?" I asked.

"No...but she can help Sam." He said. "Yes, she can be irritating, but you can still trust her. Monster or not."

I shook my head in disbelief. "Are you serious?"

Cass gave me his scary serious look. "Trust her...or Sam dies."

With that, he vanished.
