I walked down the stares of my apartment, mask on, ball under my arm. I sighed quietly, 15 years old and not a single person who cared about me, at lest that's how I felt. I always loved my job though, making people smile and help them laugh was something I felt good about. I put on my smile like always and it fit into place under my mask.
I walked out setting my ball down and started to walk on it around and across the rode, eventually I got a crowed going like usual. I started to juggle walking on the ball an flipped my hat off like always to give a place for money. After I had finished a bunch if people dropped money in and I looked Over in time to see a beautiful girl drop money in to my hat. I ran over to go see her but when jot there she was gone I picked up my hat seeing a $20.00 bill. My eyes widened and looked around, I saw the girl looking at one of the street venders. I sprinted to my apartment dropping off my stuff but grabbed the twenty running back to see her in the same place looking over things with a blank face.

"Excuse me?" I asked and she turned around looking at me with crystal blue eyes "Yes?" She asked and I smiled showing her the twenty "I think you put this in my hat my mistake," I said and she shook her head "no, I meant to put that there." She said still quiet. Her brown hair was falling over her shoulders and she wore shorts and a long sleeve shirt. "You're not from around here are you? I mean I know a lot of faces, and I know I would have remembered yours." I said slipping on my words and looked down holding my tongue. She shook her head again "Not really," she sighed and I looked up grinning "Well I can show you around if you want, I know my way around." I said happily and she smiled a bit, it was suddle but I loved her smile, I wanted to help we be happy when she clearly wasn't. "Alright, lead the way." She smiled and I started walking towards the best place I knew and tried to talk to her along the way,

"I'm Jace by the way,"

"Harmony," she replied

"That's a beautiful name you know,"

"It's alright I guess..."

I looked at we sadly and handed her the twenty but again she pushed it away "Keep it," she said and I looked at her "this is a lot, I don't want you handing it to me," I said sadly "No." She said and I put it in my pocket giving up as I turned the corner to the garden I knew

It had thousands of colours and types of flowers. I saw her stare in awe and laughed a little opening the gate as we walked in "Wow..." She said quietly and smiled, looking at all the flowers and trees. I closed my eyes for a moment grinning in my triumph and when I opened them I saw Harmony walking into the dark part of the garden. I panicked and grabbed her hand tightly "Y-you can't go there," I said quickly. I knew the stories and I didn't want anything bad to happen to her. She turned and looked down at me holding her hand, we both pulled away quickly and she tilted her head "why not?" She asked "Because it's not safe and I don't want you getting hurt." I said quietly and she looked at me confused

"why would you care?"

The words hit me like a rock. I knew them well, it's how I use to feel about the world and people in it.

"I just do okay..."

I looked away quietly and she looked down sadly. She looked up at me "Sorry." She said and I looked up confused "Why no your fault," I grinned and she shook her head

"Why are you doing that?"

"Doing what?"

"Hiding your emotions... That grin is forced I can tell,"

"I always smile, why be down when you can be happy," I laugh quietly but inside everything hurts

"Let go," she said and put a hand on my face quietly as I froze and felt everything. I almost started to cry and I didn't know why, I shook it off and changed the subject.
"I have to go now... But maybe you can come back tomorrow Harmony," I smiled brightly wanting to see her again. "Alright..." She said quietly, I looked at her and stuck my tongue out crossing my eyes as I tried to make her smile.
She let out an adorable laugh and I smiled "I'll see you tomorow?" I asked happily and she seamed to think for a moment "I'll see you then," she said and waved as I walked away
