15) A woman in my bed

Even with the covers over my head, I still couldn't control the wave of nervousness that had taken over my body, especially after hearing Gale walk into the room from his shower. Was he naked? Was he dressing? Was he wondering whether I was asleep? Was he...?
I couldn't hold back all these absurd questions.

Surely he would respect the both of us by not being naked in the same room as me, right?
And damn! The heat rising from my artificial cocoon made me sweaty within just two minutes. Was it normal to be this nervous?
He was my best friend's dad, I just couldn't picture him naked around me.

The duvet was tugged a little. "We're sharing the same cover you little minx!" Gale cursed tugging again forcefully.

Minx! I repeated in my head, raw shock vibrating down my spine. Of all the insults he could haul at me, why Minx?
My fists pleased to have a little conversation with his jaws, but I reminded them that they'd feel like feathers against Gale's hard features.

After mumbling his hatred for me, he eventually slid under the duvet.
As if he hadn't just openly laid out his dislike for me, he suddenly went quiet.

For about five minutes, not a sound came from him, not even his breathing.
Had he fallen asleep? I wondered.
'I can't take it anymore!' My inner self yelled before my hands pulled the cursed duvet down to uncover my head.
Oh, how the air outside felt so cool and refreshing! Why had I buried my head under that hot thing? 'Attempted suicide!'

'Dramatic much huh?!'

"Are you awake?" Gale's clear voice asked all of a sudden, solidified my body to the last nerve.

'Shit! Isn't he asleep? What do I do now? I don't feel like talking to him or having to face him.'

I had to feign sleep and pray that he'd just kick me out of the bed and the room.
Silence...
"Hey?!" He poked my back, almost making my body jerk due to how sensitive I always had been. I managed to hold in that reaction by biting my finger. A little pain to keep my senses grounded could be tolerated for survival.
"How the fuck are you asleep on someone else's bed? A man for that!" Why, oh why, was he speaking out his thoughts?

I didn't mind him judging me so cruelly, but did he have to say it aloud?

"Shit! Why can't I fall asleep? I slept well last night."

Wait, was I in his bed to be his sleeping teddy(human) bear? No way!
He shuffled around for a good three minutes, and then... "Don't get me wrong. I don't want to touch you for even the sight of you makes my bile rise, but..." An arm quietly slid its way beneath my neck as the rest of his body came spooning from behind me. His free hand crawled around my waist before pulling me against him as firmly as I could go.

"Argh! Why are you this small? It feels like I'm embracing a malnourished mosquito."

Huh?
Huh?
'Mo-mosquito? A malnourished mosquito?' My jaw clenched so hard to the point that it might have snapped. My heart, oh my poor heart. How could he insult my body like this? I had taken good care of it. Cared for my skin and the amount of weight I had. At least I weighed enough and was in great shape like most girls my age. Being malnourished was such a deep insult to me.

And if I was so malnourished, why was he still clinging to me like I would be his teddy for the night?

With his arms holding me that close, I couldn't help but grow unease, not forgetting the fire in my ass which was now dangerously pressed on his loins.
I tried to move away from him while minimizing rubbing my sore behind on his loins, but, his arms held me in place with such ease.
"Stay still dammit! Now, let us both sleep." It sounded as if there was relief in his tone.

Sleep? Was he kidding me? He wanted me to fall asleep while being cuddled like that? While I could feel his package resting right on my ass?
What a sick joke.

But as the seconds wasted away and turned into minutes, I learned that he meant every bit of his statement. In less than fifteen minutes, his body relaxed and his breathing grew more moderate. He, he had really fallen asleep.

I sighed mentally, devoid of any energy to free myself from his grip regardless of his sleeping state. To keep myself sane in the silence of the large bedroom, I began counting backward from a thousand. And by the six-hundred-and-thirty-four mark, my mind had already begun floating out of this world.

"My Lord?" A feminine voice called amidst respectful knocks.
They drew Gale out of his slumber and had him open his eyes with anger filling them.
"My Lord? Pardon me for interrupting your sleep but I came to seek your guidance."

"What?" He mumbled running his fingers through his hair while pulling his body to sit. But the weight on his arm and the red mass of hair sprayed all over, even on his face made him freeze for a moment.
"Who is...argh! You're still here! Why didn't you leave before morning?"

But the one he was ranting on was peacefully snoring away softly. Her right arm was resting across Gale's abdomen and her right leg was carelessly thrown over his thighs as if hugging him from the side.

"My-"

"What is it?" He demanded irritatedly.

"The girl, my Lord. We've tried waking her up but she won't respond. Her door is locked. Should we get the master keys and-"

"No!" He shot nervously, almost giving himself away. "Let her be," he advised, his eyes falling on the defenseless woman fast asleep on half his body. She looked so innocent, having him doubt whether she was the same person who had caused him so much agony in his life.

"Okay, my Lord."
He waited until the footsteps outside vanished before he pushed Maya completely off of him like some kind of an infested corpse.

"Tsk!" He snorted slipping out of bed.
Walking for the balcony doors, Gale let out a satisfied yawn, stretching out his arms to rid himself of the numbness.
He swung around his neck, noting down the importance of a massage within the week.

But that wasn't as important as his recent discovery...he could sleep like a normal person again. But, why was it that the person he hated the most was the one who would be his sleeping pill?

He drew the curtains, allowing the warm morning rays to flood the room. His eyes then followed the path on which they had fallen, catching a glimpse of the woman bathing in them. Her hair, like dark red flames, threatened to set the entire room ablaze any second.
The sun rays penetrated the fabric of her night dress, making visible that which was supposed to stay hidden.

Her breasts looked tender and soft to the touch. Her nipples were dull due to the warmth of the sun.
As his gaze intended to travel further down, he quickly tossed it on the night table and then slowly brought it outside as his body turned.

He had no intention of acknowledging Maya because that would burden his conscience knowing that he had slept for two nights with a fully-developed woman. Not that he had much of that awareness left over the years. But even with his hatred for her, he still recognized her as his daughter's friend, one whom he had met a few years back.
