"What the fuck is Griffons and Gargoyles," I asked my sister and Betty, deadpanned at the fact that a stupid game has caused our parents to freak out and ban it.

Veronica nodded her head while sitting on the desk of Betty's Blue & Gold office, "Now, this stupid game is literally all anyone is talking about-"

"You are not playing are you V," Betty's face fell serious.

"Bee," Veronica gave a reassuring smile, "you don't make Fibes 20 Under 20 by prancing around the woods in a deer carcass."

My eyes bulged out of their sockets, "HUH! The fuck? Come again?!"

Veronica dismissed me, "Are you and Jughead playing?"

"No. We are still trying to figure out why my mom and his dad were so triggered by us having the manuals-" Her office phone rang.

"I mean really Veronica, what harm can come from playing a little game," I said as Betty quickly hushed me as she put the phone on speaker.

"Hi, Dr. Curdle, yes have you had any luck?"

I furrowed my brows in confusion, luck with what and who is Dr. Curdle?

"Per your request," Dr. Curdle continued, "I did some digging in the morgue archives, and I found something I think you'll be interested in."

"Perfect! Jughead and I will be down there in 30," and she hung up.

"Please don't tell me Elizabeth Cooper that you are literally going to a morgue right now. And if you are why," I said as I leaned against the book shelf with folded arms.

"Well Andriette Lodge, I am going and to investigate Dilton Doiley."

I sighed, "So I'm guessing this Dilton is dead as you are going to the morgue?"

She smiled, "Yes and Jughead and I believe that this Griffons and Gargoyles game has something to do with it."

"Of course it is! Why can't Riverdale just be a peaceful place without any bullshit going on 24/7," I said shaking my head.

"Betty why am I walking through the forest with you... alone. Is this like the part where you like kill me." I walked a few feet behind Betty, she may be my friend, but she hasn't told me why she dragged me here with her in the first place. Better be safe than sorry in this damn town.

"Well you see, last night after Jughead and I got back from the morgue, which by the way Dr. Curdle Jr told me that apparently Dilton Doiley's 'suicide' was practically the same exact way someone died when our parents were in high school. Both corpses had blue lips," Betty rambled on as I watched her ponytail frantically move side to side as we hiked forward to only God knows where... well, I guess Betty knows where too.

"Okay," I carefully stepped over a log with my brand new Versace boots, "Blue lips is kind of common with dead people Betty that doesn't mean anything."

The blonde swung her head around to look back at me with a crazed look in her eyes, "That's where you're wrong, well I mean technically you're right, but not in this case. Both people died because they drunk a drink that was blue. And for why you're here, this game is going to become a massive problem, I feel it and I need both the King and Queen of the Serpents to help me put a stop to it before it gets to a level of where we can't stop it."

I nodded my head, kind of scared of the girl.

"Look we are here! Help me lift the lid."

Fear ran over me, "I don't know Betty. You want me to lift the lid of a bunker. Remind me why we're in the woods again?"

"Oh shut it. You are being dramatic. I'm not going to kill you Andy. Don't you think if I was going to kill you, I would've done it sooner, now help."

I went down to help her, "Yeah I'm totally being dramatic. It's not like you kept blowing up my phone at 5 in the morning to come out here with you in the middle of the forest or anything. I mean you could still be waiting to kill me, then throw me into this bunker, then camouflage it so nobody can find me."

Betty rolled her eyes as she went down the ladder of the bunker, "Respectfully, shut the fuck up now." I followed the blonde down the ladder.

"Jugge? Jug? You won't believe the story my mom told me last night."

I walked next to the girl, both of our footsteps slowed when we saw the sight before us.

Tori, Cheryl, Fangs, Jughead, and Sweet Pea were playing the game before us.

"Jug."

"Sweet Pea."

When both guys heard out voices, their heads shoot up to us.

"What the fuck are you doing," I said, scared.

Jughead shot up, "Betty, it's all making sense. All of this becoming clear. The game, the Gargoyle King. I'm a Level Three, and it's only a matter of time until I ascend... And I get to meet him."

"Fuck," my jaw dropped, "I take back what I said Betty. There's a whole fucking shit load of harm from this game."

"Oh this is only the beginning Andy," she whispered back at me.

My eyes shot back at the tall boy who sits at the table as if he had a tail that was between his legs, "Sweet fucking Pea I'm going to give you two minutes to get your ass out of this bunker and away from this game to meet me up stairs."

"Oooo. Dog house," Fangs chuckled as he took a drink of his beer.

Pea's jaw clenched as he got up and punched his friend in the shoulder, earning a whine from him.

"Andy wait."

I walked further into the woods, anger shot through my body.

"I don't get why you're even upset."

"Because Pea!" I shot around to face him as he leaned against the base of an oak tree. "I know I don't get the game or know anything about it, but I just spent two hours of hearing Betty say that our parents played this exact game just for someone to end up dead from playing this game. And I come up here to see you Pea playing the damn game."

He sighed as he leaned his head back, "It's just a game And-"

"I don't care! I don't give a shit if what Betty's mom told her isn't true, I don't care if what happened to Dalton is just some insanely coincidental suicide that is exactly how that guy died 20 some years ago. I don't care if it really is just a kid's game, but I can't take the chance that there's a sliver of a chance that something might happen to you Pea!"

He leaned off the tree to walk towards me, "You really are scared?"

I ran a hand through my hair, "There's a chance Pea that Betty's right about this game. I just can't bet on it if you are involved with it. I don't want you playing G and G again."

He kissed my forehead, "I won't play it. This is my last time. I promise you."
