Clara looked up when the sliding doors of STAR Labs hissed open, and a very angry Barry Allen walked through them.

"I wasn't the only one affected by the particle accelerator explosion, was I?"

Clara opened her mouth, but Dr. Wells intervened.

"We don't know for sure," Dr. Wells claimed.

"You said the city was safe," Barry argued, "that there was no residual danger. But that's not true, so what happened that night?"

Clara looked at the floor in shame.

"Well..." Dr. Wells breathed as Clara took his hand. "The accelerator went active. We all felt like heroes, and then...it all went wrong," he used his wheel chair computer to pull up one of the screens to show a recap. "The dimensional barrier ruptured, unleashing unknown energies into our world. Antimatter, dark energy, Clara looked up when the sliding doors of STAR Labs hissed open and a very angry Barry Allen walked through them.

"The dimensional barrier ruptured, unleashing unknown energies into our world. Antimatter, dark energy, x-elements..."

"Those are all theoretical," Barry said.

"And how theoretical are you?" Clara questioned.

Dr. Wells pulled up a map of Central City. "We mapped the dispersion throughout and around Central City. Though we have no way of knowing exactly what or...who was exposed, we've been searching for other meta-humans like yourself,"

"Meta-humans?" Barry wondered.

"That's what we're calling them," Caitlin explained.

"I saw one today. He's a bank robber, and he can control the weather,"

"This just keeps getting cooler," Cisco mused.

"Dude," Clara chastised with a shake of her head.

"This is not cool," Barry lashed out. "All right? A man died. Mardon must have gotten his powers the same way I did—from the storm cloud. He's still out there. We have to stop him before he hurts anyone else," he turned to leave the lab.

"Barry!" Clara called after him but was stopped by Dr. Wells squeezing her hand.

"That's a job for the police," Dr. Wells said.

"I work for the police," Barry reminded.

"As a Forensic Assistant,"

"You're responsible for this. For him,"

"What's important is you!" Dr. Wells exclaimed.

Clara jumped back, and Caitlin placed a reassuring hand on the girl's shoulder.

Dr. Wells sighed in an attempt to calm down. "Not me. I lost everything. I lost my company. I lost my reputation. I lost my freedom. And then you broke your arm, and it healed in three hours. Inside your body could be a map to a whole new world...genetic therapies, vaccines, medicines, treasures buried deep within your cells, and we cannot risk losing everything because you want to go out and play hero! You're not a hero. You are just a young man who was struck by lightning,"

Clara watched as Barry left the lab and shook her head. "He deserves to know..."

"Clara..."

"You told him he's alone. But he's not! You want to help him with his meta ability, but what about mine?!"

"Cici..."

Cisco and Caitlin watched wide-eyed.

"I mean honestly it's like you believe that if you don't bring attention to it, it will just disappear,"

"Cici..." Cisco spoke up.

"What?!" Clara glared at him.

"Your hand," Caitlin revealed.

Clara glanced down at her hand to see that neither was visible. "Great...just great!" she screamed in frustration, and everyone in the room was pushed back.

"Clara, you need to..." Dr. Wells started.

"I know!" Clara huffed as she left the room.

Cisco looked around "Did she leave or..."

Caitlin shook her head and went back to work, while Dr. Wells watched the door that Barry and Clara had left.
