[This was my first writing assignment of My Life as a Bat style imitation at English class. Needless to say I got an 20 out of 20 on it and I feel proud what I made, so I wanted to share here.]
1. City Snake
I'm so hungry so i slither out of my hiding place to hunt for food, and I'd usually find some if it weren't for the crowded garage that was place over my home. Would you like it if your home was replaced on top of yours with another home? It was very difficult to hunt with all the children and adults in the way.2. The Dangers of being a city snake
I started to slither around the humans who could've tripped and stomped on me whether accidentally or purposefully. Scanning the area I found a rat chilling in the park, eating all the cheese. With my brisk speed, I darted to the mouse just as a human stepped on me just before I could reach my prey. "AHHHH!" The ear piercing scream caught the rats attention. And as it saw me, it ran off. It's flesh and meat getting away from the tip of my tongue "A SNAKE! KILL IT!!" the little red haired boy stomped on me repeatedly. Would you like it if someone stepped on you?3. My Venomous Bite
On instinct, I bit the boy's leg and he let out a deafening scream and ran off to his mother. As i slithered to safety I heard the boy's mother say, "Snakes are monsters, why do they do this to my son?" The answer to that question would be self-defense. Why am I the monster for defending myself? Although snakes are viewed as monsters, venomous, and cruel. It is not true for all snakes, if threatened we can act on instinct and bite; humans do the same, so you can't blame us. Unless we're a cobra, then that would make sense. Would you like it if you were called a monster for defending yourself?
