Thousands of civilians arrived at the Guardians of the Globe's public funeral. Statues of them erected blimps and music beaming in memory... mourning was commonplace across the entire planet. Kiyotaka, Robot, Eve, Dupli-Kate, and Rex represented the Teen Team, whose actions against the Flaxans and other villains in the GOTG's absence warranted praise.
Mark and Debbie were also present and dressed in black, close to the caskets as well. However, Mark didn't seem remotely phased and acclimated to it all just fine. What most interested him was the villain powerful enough to dispose of the Guardians and incapacitate his dad.
A large stage showcasing each of the Guardians and their holograms stood before the enormous crowd. Fighter jets with banners passed by the sky and in the middle of their formation... was Omniman who flew down to the podium. He greeted the masses in reverence for the lives that were taken from them.

Eve felt numb to it all and squeezed Kiyo's hand to which he responded with the same. However, he simply stared at the killer making a speech about his victims to the public.
Omniman: I've fought the unimaginable in defense of this world. I've battled alien tyrants, nightmares, and ancient gods, but no matter what threat I faced, I knew I wasn't facing it alone. Red Rush, Darkwing, Green Ghost, Aquarus, Martian Man, Warwoman, the Immortal... the Guardians of the Globe. Today, we have lost titans., protectors, heroes. And we are left to wonder, who will save us now? I will, and so will others like me. New heroes answering the call... new champions ready to risk everything to keep this planet safe. All of this, inspired by these great souls before us. You will have moment of doubt, of fear, of uncertainty. But in those moments, have faith and look into the sky because I am here.
Ending off with that, he took to the skies again, as the public ceremony continued on with compilations in remembrance of said fallen heroes.

A Little While Later...

In a completely different area across the United States and at a later time, the real ceremony of the Guardians of the Globe took place. Rain poured down violently, the clouds blocking out the vibrant sun that previously shined during the initial ceremony. The fallen heroes' family members and loved ones attended all in black. This time, only Kiyo and Eve from the Teen Team attended. Omniman presided and began yet another speech regarding his victims now targeted at their loved ones.
