LUNA WAS WALKING BESIDE EMMA after training, sweating under the sun, her eyes didn't stop wandering on the ocean as she carried her pink backpack, Emma seemed to notice her interest in the ocean as a smile stretch across her face, she shot a look at the boat when a familiar voice called out to her.
"Wanna go for a ride" the girl in the boat asked
"Do you have your license?" Emma asked
"Are you my mother?" The other girl retorted, Emma shook her head and shot a glance at Luna, she looked at the boat then back at the girl, Luna didn't seem to notice since her eyes were fixated on the boat.
"Wanna go for a ride?" Emma asked, Luna turned to her with eyes glowing in excitement, she energetically nodded
And that's how the four girls ended up with no fuel in the middle of the sea, Emma put a reassuring hand on Luna's shoulder.
"Feel like paddling to that island?" Luna asked
"No one goes there" Cleo warned her "It's surrounded by sharks, and reefs and mangroves"
"Well" Rikki intervened "It's all we've got" she said as she handed a paddle to Emma who annoyingly took it from her, when they arrived to the island, Luna jumped off the boat and stared at the island in awe.
While the three girls were arguing they didn't notice her running towards the woods, when Emma finally looked back, she let out a gasp.
"Where's Luna?" She asked, turning to her friends, the girls shot each other a worried look "Oh no, i lost Luna" Emma whined
"Relax" Rikki said "we're gonna find her, she must be in the woods, let's go"
The trio rushed towards the woods, yelling Luna's name only to get no answer, when they reached a trail of rocks, Emma put her hands on her head.
"She couldn't have gone there" she said until Rikki pointed at something "What is it?"
"That's her backpack" Rikki said, Emma followed Rikki's gaze and jumped when her eyes fell on the backpack.
"Oh no" she mumbled and jumped on the rocks. "Luna !" She called, hearing nothing from the girl she jumped on another one, Rikki joined her, but Cleo stood behind.
"It's too slippery" she said "There's gotta be another way" she added before her foot slipped, she let out a scream as she fell into the hole, she sat up, Emma and Rikki rushed to the hole.
"I'm okay, i'm fine" Cleo said
"Can you climb up?" Emma asked
"No"
When Emma and Rikki joined her in the hole, Cleo got up, Emma stared at something behind her, the girls followed her gaze.
"Luna" she said and rushed towards the girl "Are you okay?" she asked, the girl nodded and took her hand.
"Come, look what i found" she said as she dragged Emma with her, the others followed, Luna led them to a cave with a pod.
"Wow" Rikki said "this is like the cane of a volcano"
"It's not going to erupt, is it?" Cleo asked, Emma shot her an amusing look before looking back at the pod.
"It's been dormant for twenty thousand years, i think we're safe" she said before leaning towards the pool.
"Look, tidal rings" she said "the level of the pool rises and falls"
"So?" Rikki asked
"So, it's connected to the ocean, there might be a way out" Emma answered as she took her shoes off and jumped in the pool.
