    JAKE, DEVON AND NAT WAITED outside Caroline's new hospital room as Lexy went inside to find Chucky but she soon left, not wasting any time, "follow me."

She led them down to the basement, with a container full of used needles and a fireplace, "What are the chances he burned to death?" Lexy asked.

Jake looked at her, and she realised what type of question that was, "okay." They walked down the stairs. Nat grimaced looking inside the container as more stuff fell in, "uh‐uh. No way, this is disgusting."

"We have to be sure," Jake said.

"I don't know what's worse, stabbed with a butcher knife or a used needle," Devon scoffed.

"I'll do it. It's my mess," Jake admitted.

"Well, I'm part of that mess, so I'm helping," Nat added.

"We're in this together," Lexy added.

"Together."

"That's what I said," Lexy shot back, not wanting him to take this moment away from her.

"Maybe we‐‐you know, we could wait for him to come for us. He can't stay down there forever," Devon said nervous, now realising what he signed himself up for.

"He can't? What exactly are the rules for supernaturally possessed dolls?" Lexy sassed.

"Hey, guys, I have an idea. I'll get him out," Jake picked up a broom and gloves, "Lexy, dig," tossing the gloves to her. "Devon and Nat, keep watch."

"Uh‐uh. No, absolutely not. There's like seven diseases down there," Nat sighed and took the gloves from her.

"I'll do it shall I?" She shot her a half hearted smile and rolled her eyes.

"Did you not just say "together"?" Jake complained.

"It's fine Jake, I've got this," Nat sighed, putting the gloves on.

Jake stepped up onto a bucket he placed down, while Devon and Lexy stood off to the side, "just follow my lead."

"Always," she exhaled slowly.

"Three, two, one. Go!" He shouted, beginning to stab away at the container and Nat began searching, gagging from touching everything.

"Eat this, Chucky!" Jake yelled, angrily digging in the container only to slip off the bucket, falling to the ground but Devon was quick to catch him.

Nat sighed jumping away from the container, "that was not fun," she grimaced.

Lexy walked over and Nat threw the gloves off, "are you... are you okay?"

"Yep, fine," Nat sighed. Devon picked up sanitising sprays and gave them to Jake and Nat and sprayed some on their hands.

    "A few days ago, you were probably feeling shock, denial. That's normal. All of this is so much to take in. At this point, you might be feeling pain and guilt," Miss F has been talking to the class about the murders, and addressing what happened to Oliver. Nat looked down and sighed. The deaths of everyone came flashing back to her and she leaned over the table, swallowing a pit in her throat.
