Chapter Sixteen

━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━

FOR THE LAST YEAR, THE KIDS had been staying with Miss F. It had been pretty nice getting to live altogether. Nat and Lexy took their relationship to the next level and even Jake and Devon who had begun to take it to the next, next level.

They were still on the hunt for Caroline and to kill the final Chucky doll. After finding out through Jennifer Tilly that there is a final Chucky doll. Jake had gone back into sculpture art to get the internet's help on finding Chucky so he could "use him for his art".

Lexy had been making tik tok videos to get viewers attention, and she had just gone into thirst trap videos. Which was quite entertaining for Nat to watch.

And Devon was back into podcasting, warning people of Chucky. Although, while everyone else posted on the internet, Nat stayed in the background, she was glued to her laptop in hopes of hacking security cameras on the street or just anything to find clues of Caroline or Chucky's whereabouts.

Nat sat in the corner of Lexy's room, blocking out the tik tok Lexy was making, too busy scrolling through any website or news article she could find about Caroline or just trying to hack security cameras. She wasn't making much progress, it was hard to pinpoint a location and they had no idea where a child would have run off to.

Her phone went off and she picked it up, it's from her new friend, Grant Collins. They had really become good friends when he found her guitar playing on tik tok. She may not use social media like the others are doing, but she still uses it to show people her guitar playing, since she still has a liking to music. She wants at least something normal out of her hectic life.

He had found her talented and messaged her and they for some reason just really became good friends. It was the first friend she's ever had that didn't know about Chucky, it was nice to find interests that weren't trauma, he felt the same.

The two did relate over being bullied and even though they weren't close by, always had each others backs. The one thing she doesn't know is that he's related to the president of the United States. She just never really cared about politics and never did digging into him because it's the first real thing that's happened to her beside's Lexy.

The two texted almost everyday, sharing stuff about their day. He would often complain about how his day went but Nat didn't care, it was a nice break from Jake, Devon and Lexy constantly doing everything to find Chucky and Caroline.

She is on board with everything and she wants to help Lexy find her sister but she's seriously done with Chucky. He's far away and there's no point going after him, but if that's what the others want to do, she'll follow them.

Through it all though, Lexy and Nat had made time for each other and we're going on dates, making out, a lot so it wasn't all that bad.

Nat opened the message, reading the text.

Just had a power outage at my place last night 🙄.

Grant has never told Nat that he lives in the white house, he sort of assumed she knew and that's why they're friends, but she's never talked about it or treated him any differently because of it, she always treats him like a normal person which he appreciates. So he just kept it a secret and he's enjoyed being friends with her and having something real.

Oh no. How will you survive?
Do you know what happened?

Nah, probably just an electrical failing which is quite rare for where I live
