Thank you guys so much for all the reads! I hope you enjoy this chapter!
Time was flying by, and before I knew it May of 1967 was upon us. Paul and I were extremely busy finishing the planning for our wedding, still set for June. June 18th to be exact because according to Paul, "You are the best present that I could ever have." We had been sitting at the table all day, making sure every plan was perfect and everything was in place for next month.
"Love, I'm tired of this." Paul whined.
"I am too, Paul. Do you want to go out tonight?"
"I'd love too. Want to invite the boys and their girls?" By boys and their girls, I mean George and Pattie, Ringo and Maureen, and just John. He and Cynthia had been separated for a while now, so I figured going out would do him some good.
"Sure. I'll call them. Where do you want to go?"
"How about The Bag O'Nails?"
"Sounds good to me."
I called all the boys and we all agreed to meet there that night.

It was now later in the evening and we were just arriving at the club. We chose to sit in a big booth that would accompany all of us. I was sitting with Paul's arm around me and he was nibbling at my neck as I scanned the club. I was feeling rather anxious, and I couldn't figure out why. As I was scanning the club, my eyes fell on one person. Linda Eastman.
I gasped and Paul noticed. "Everything okay?" He asked me.
"Paul, can we talk in private quickly?"
"Yeah." He said getting up. "We'll be right back." He announced to the table.
"Going to have a quick shag in the alley, McCartney?" John asked jokingly.
"No." Paul said sternly and we walked outside the club.
"What's the matter?"
"Paul, I'm going to tell you something about the future that you are supposed to have if not for me. Okay?"
"Okay..." He said nervously.
"The girl you are supposed to marry is inside that club. Her name is Linda and you two are supposed to be married until the day she dies."
"Oh." Paul said.
"Oh?" I questioned his lacking response.
"You know I'm not interested in anyone but you."
"I know, but I'm scared. What if you see her or make eye contact and fall in love?"
"Eden, I am in love with only you and I always will be." He placed a kiss on my lips and I relaxed at his touch.
"I love you too. Please don't leave me."
"I will never leave you."
"Promise?"
"I promise. Now let's get back inside and have some fun."
As we were walking back to the booth, I noticed someone new at our table perched upon John's lap. It was a female, of course. She had blonde hair and a camera strap around her neck. It was Linda.
I stopped dead in my tracks and began laughing.
"I guess we have nothing to worry about."
"What do you mean?"
"The girl you were supposed to marry is currently sitting on John's lap. Looks like she made her choice."
Paul laughed as well and placed a kiss on my lips.
"Come on, love."
Paul led me back to the table and we rejoined the group.
"Everything alright?" Pattie asked.
"Everything's fine. Just needed some air." I lied and Paul smiled.
We spent the rest of the night having fun and Linda never paid a drop of attention to Paul and, like usual, all of Paul's attention was on me. I knew that the future was changing before my very eyes, but I could care less. Everyone around me was happy and only happy thoughts filled my mind. I was marrying the love of my life next month. John had possibly found himself another girl, and everything was going well with everyone else. This life was perfect and I wouldn't want anything else.
