ZUKO'S P. O. V.

I discovered a strange light beam, not quite far away in the icy hills of the Southern Water Tribe. “The only settlement in that area is the Water Tribe Village in the South Pole territory. That's where we have to go.” I explained to uncle Iroh the plan and what I saw a while ago. “Where you think we'll find the Avatar?”

“Yes.” I quickly said it to him. “Because of the light?” he questioned unsure of it as I mentally scoffed that what I say is impossible. “You think I'm imagining things?” I asked in disbelief.

Uncle Iroh stood up from my bed as he walked. “Sometimes, light beams are nothing more than celestial dimension in the winter sky,” he explains, I secretly rolled my eyes in annoyance as I knew he didn't believe me.

“For 3 years, I've chased down every hint, every rumor, every whisper of the Avatar, and I'll keep doing it for another 3 years if I have to!” I explained as I felt my head boiling in rage. My uncle then started to talk. “Prince Zuko, I don't think your father would want you–”

“My father has banished me until I find the Avatar, and that's the exactly what I'll do,” I yelled at him from the start then began to tone down as I– well, try to calm down. “All I'm saying is, it's hard to see you get your hopes up every time you see... a sign.”

I was silent as my uncle might be right, but I ignored his words that this was my chance to prove my father. “It'll all be worth it once I return home in glory to take my place as the rightful heir to the Fire Lord.” I take a look at all the work that's attached to the wall, such as maps and histories of the past Avatars.

I saw numerous letters and began to smile as I knew who it was from. “And Shizuma...” I glance at the art portrait of my fiancé, looking majestic and elegant.
