"What the....", Jia whispered yell to herself scanning the room for any signs of it.
She again pulled her bag for the nth time in the past 20 minutes to search for the most valuable thing in her life. "I'm so sure I didn't go outside the building for anything except the cafeteria....but I didn't bought them with me there", she muttered under her breath recollecting the things she did today and the places where she went.
She didn't understand how can she lose her earbuds when she doesn't even use it during practices. They were basically only in use when she had some online lectures or study sessions with her friends. She didn't even use it much when she just needed to scroll through social media when she had nothing to do or when she felt bored.
Jieun watched her roaming in the room to find her thing and then to the phone on Jia's desk which kept buzzing from past 2 minutes indicating an incoming call. Her books were kept neatly on the study table along with some assignment pages and stationary items.
The room wasn't small, it was quite big for two people but still they insisted on having bunk beds to save space so she had enough space for her study table which was beside their beds and also there was a small balcony across the room as well.
"Yeah yeah just a second, actually I can't find my earbuds", Jia explained after picking up the call holding it between her left ear and shoulder rummaging through her practice bag once again.
"You know, you can use mine for now", Jieun said looking at the elder girl who unknowingly ignored her words, so she went and grabbed her shoulders to pull her attention towards her before repeating her words, "I said you can use mine".
It took her 5 seconds to process her words, "Oh right, I can use yours", her eyes widened in realization, "why do I act so dumb sometimes", she cringed a little at herself before settling on her chair in front of her desk opening her laptop to join the meet.
"Took you ages to join", she heard Jaehee speak from the other side. "You guys didn't start right?", Jia asked, opening her books and scanning the topic they left last time. "Chill we didn't, even we just joined now", Sohee reassured her.
"OK so we have 2 topics i.e 'Standard analog conditioning and filtering &; impedance matching' on Saturday and we have just done a part of it which I assume you guys don't remember", Sohee tore his gaze from his notes to the screen to watch their response. The others just gave him a sheepish grin.
He huffed and started explaining the concepts again highlighting the main parts which need to be studied more precisely.
The others quietly took the explanation he was giving and made their own notes on their understanding.
The study session continued till 2am and then they all decided to dismiss it for now as it was too much for the others to understand it in one go so they decided to resume it tomorrow at the same time as it practically wasn't possible for Jia to meet them in person or preponed the time as she knew it was unfair for the others to make them wait for her to be free but her friends were kind enough and understood her situation very well and decided to help despite her opposing the idea for them.
