"What are they saying?" Satsuki peeked in Eunha's phone. "Well, everyone is excited though", Eunha smiled.
"There are mixed reactions actually", Molly interrupted. The reminder not to look at the comments on social media platforms came to her mind till then the phones in everyone's hands were snapped away by someone.
"Hey, I got my new phone just two weeks ago, don't be so harsh", Eunha pouted
"What did I told you about not opening social media?", Jia exclaimed, her leader mode on.
"But it's not going to harm us by looking at it once right", said Daehee hugging Jia from behind.
"Ofc it would, what if you see some negative comments about yourself? You would eventually feel upset and would have constant thoughts about it", Jia very calmly explained everyone how the company told everyone to be far away for social media for time being.
Being an idol isn't that difficult, well that's how Jia thought. Every profession has its own drawbacks. Though on the negative side they would get hate and constant critisizm but on the positive side they would also get so much love from the fans all around the world, the fans who pay to watch them, the fans who dream about being like them, living a luxurious life like them.
The most important thing why everyone dreams of becoming idol isn't because they love singing, dancing or performing but it is mainly because everyone wants a luxurious life, to become famous, to earn money.
Well the latter was her sole reason for becoming an idol. She knew how poverty looks life, she experienced the moments where people think 10 times before spending money on something.
Jia was very thankful for the life she has got now. She just can't thank enough to the staff who scouted her that day. Well being an idol wasn't her initial plan, it just just happened.
"Education is the only means for us to get out of this life", "Sorry for burdening you my child but you are our only hope", "Sorry we couldn't give you the ideal life every kid wanted"
She hated the fact that her parents think so worthless of themselves. Well it was true that they could afford to buy the bare minimum things in her childhood but it's fine, it's totally completely absolutely fine that they couldn't give her the ideal life every child wants in their childhood.
Not everyone has the same child hood, not everyone lives a luxurious life, not everyone has a happy and caring family but she had one. Her parents cared for her and her little brother.
But now her life would not be the same as before. She can give that life to her family that they always dreamed about. They weren't happy when she told them about being a trainee at SM initially. They opposed her and told her the drawbacks of being an idol. Also her family being a typical middleclass family didn't fantasize a celebrity life.
They knew the things female celebrities go through, how people sexualize them in every way possible, even though some people don't voice out their thoughts but they do fantasize about them and no one can stop it, and that's the thing her parents didn't liked a bit.
Her parents wanted both of their kids to live a successful, respectful and happy life, and being an idol won't give it to her. After so much of convincing they finally agreed but after some conditions.
First being no revealing clothes allowed.
Second was no smoking, no drinking as they are not good for health.
The third and most important was continuing her studies and completing her degree.
Yes, she was an engineering student and her parents believed that the more you study the more respect you gain. People may talk sweetly in front of you but after you turn around they do stick their thumb on your back and call you uneducated. Her parents do thought about what the society thinks. And even though she didn't cared that much about what the society but her parents did and to keep respect on that she did what they said and didn't acted recklessly because she wanted to set her as a good example for her younger brother.
That's the reason she's called the perfect daughter, sibling and a mother figure to her group.
Managing idol life and studies wasn't an easy task and that studies being engineering but she somehow tried to manage it taking time out if her schedules because she know Idol life is not a long term career. Till you are young and beautiful you have a place here, once you become old you start losing popularity.
So she kept her studies as a backup, she didn't just wanted to rely on idol life because what if she didn't debuted, what if she didn't made up to the final line up of the group, what if she didn't get scouted that day, what after her group disbanded? Jia always had such thoughts running in her mind, thoughts which didn't had certainty in them but just flying "what if's".
Well that was all and they were right though form their perspective she though and she agreed to whatever they said and that's how she ended up being here in the final lineup of the group yet to debut.
A/n :So guys what are your thought on the first chapter? Hope you all like it
