It was the first class Jia was going to attend after the official announcement of her debut.
Students were piling up on the buses, some were walking on the streets along with some people who were rushing for work. Though she couldn't see from the outside of the car but she was pretty sure people were also bustling in the swubways.
Yeonsei was what people called as a place for rich kids i.e spoiled kids. Those kids who already have everything in their life, they point out a thing and the next moment that thing was theirs.
Though she wanted a lowkey studious ennvironment in university but she couldn't runaway from the fame she would get there too anyways. So SM being SM just told her that this one was the place where they had many connections with and that they can handle the situation if something goes wrong unlike some othere universities.
She was asked multiple times by people why Yonsei and not Seoul Institute of Arts. But the answer for it was constant "I am majoring in Engineering not fine arts". Sometimes she was frustated by the constant questioning about her academic life but she had to keep it cool to avoid any kind of perdebut scandals.
She used to come by bus but now since the official announcement of SM, she had no choice but to go by the car provided by the company with her manager coming to drop and pick her up.
If anything else, she was feeling anxious about stepping inside the gates again. She was dreading it.
"Did you called them?", her manager asked, looking at her through the rear view mirror.
"Yeah, they said they're already waiting by the gate", Jia replied, looking outside the window of the car.
The car was already near the university gate and she could see the cherry blossm trees welcoming them through. It would be nice to walk in the path. It always seemed wonderful in television shows.
"Please stop the car Heejin-ssi. I'll get down from here." She said in a soft tone.
Her manager glanced at Jia from the rearview mirror. "Are you sure? Someone would notice you though"
"Its not like no one knows that I study here." She stated softly.
Heejin just gave her a nod. Jia went out of the car before her manager could even open it for her. Even in this one thing, she wanted to do it herself.
She stepped out of the car, breathing in the fresh morning air that was mixed with the sweet scent of the cherry blossms. It was such a shame that these beautiful trees were going to last for aother couple of days.
"Please lend me your bag. I'll walk you to the gates." Heejinheld out her hands.
Its fine. I'll walk by myself." She told her and started walking the path.
"But Jia--"
She just gave her a kind smile and bowed her head a little, as a sign of parting.
There were still a few minutes before the opening ceremony would start so she took her time admiring the cherry blossoms. It was such a breather to have moments like this to herself.
