"What is that?" Arin asked catching our attention. I turned and we looked like we were heading through some fog. I squinted my eyes, is that a town?
"That looks like a place that can help us," Lloyd informed us happily.
"Yay," I told them as the ship approached the dock some snakes were there.
"Hello? Hi! Our ship's engines have been damaged!" He said calling out for help.
"Which was sorta, kinda my fault!" Arin said calling out.
I backed away, as they knocked arrows and shot them at us landing on the ship.
"Destroy the interlopers!" One snake that looked different from the rest called out. This cannot be good.
Lloyd's POV...
Arrows came flying at us and we all ducked. This wasn't good. Very, very bad! "I'm guessing they're not interested in helping us," Arin said. An arrow came too close for my liking. I pulled out my sword and deflected the next one so it didn't hit Arin.
"I'm getting the same idea." I agreed.
"Really? A snake saying 'kill the interlopers' wasn't obvious enough for that?" Y/n asked incredulously.
I gave her a weak smile. "Guess not huh." she just slapped her hand to her forehead. She seems to be more and more annoyed with me lately. Am I doing something wrong? I hope not, I like her. More and more arrows kept hitting the boat. "We gotta get out of here!" I told them.
I jumped and started to deflect more arrows. I just hope everything goes alright and we can get out of here soon. Suddenly the ship felt like it was leaning to one side. I turned to see a crab climbing aboard. Oh no, this can't be good. Shoot- I deflected more incoming arrows. This isn't good, not at all. We have to get out of here.
"There's a little bit of a hiccup, in the 'gettin' out of here' part," Arin said.
"No kidding!" Y/n shouted.
I turned to look at them, and the giant crab screamed at us. I could taste its bad breath in my eyes, gross.
"Sink the ship!" I heard the one snake that told them to destroy us earlier said. "Destroy the interlopers!" More arrows shot off. Why is this happening now of all times?
Oh, I don't have time for this! I jumped down to join Arin and Y/n who were gaping at the crab. "What is that?" Arin asked me imminently. I don't have all the answers, why does everyone always think I do? But I can only give a basic answer to this.
"A crab," I told him.
"Obviously," Y/n said sarcastically. Arin just raised an eyebrow in question.
"It's kind of like a crustacean-
"I know what a crab is! They're not usually as big as a house!" The crab picked up its claw and growled at us.
"Well, the house crab is rude." Y/n chimed in.
"You understand it?" I asked incredulously.
"No, but I can sure guess." The crab swung its claw back. Oh no, time to go.
"Look out!" I yelled. Arin got out of the way and I took Y/n with me to the other side of the ship to avoid getting killed.
"How'd they get a giant monster crab!?" Arin asked from up top of the ship.
"Destroy the interlopers!" The snake in charge yelled again.
"You must be short-circuiting if you can only repeat that one phrase!" Y/n yelled at him.
