A/N:
Hi! We were really busy lately, so we are only now working on chapter 9. Chapter 10 may come out a bit late as we don't really have a lot of time to kill. Please type in the comments if we should release chapter 10 kind of late but update fast after or if we should keep a steady pace (like updating once a week?)

As I was walking back to my chamber from the library through the long winding staircases, I dove into my thoughts and started thinking. Thinking about Daman. Thinking about his vicious mother. Thinking about Jargona's secrets. And most of all, thinking about how to get out of this tangled mess the best way possible.
It all seemed like a labyrinth of questions; how is Queen Jennifer so ferocious? What role does everyone play? Is Queen Jennifer a queen in this game, or is she a mere bishop? What does the late Queen Angela Adelaide Jargona have to do with all this? Why were we Fatechangers dragged into this mess?
The questions kept coming at me like an untamed stallion ramming into my head. The more I was thinking about the questions, the more confused and irritated I got. Confused about why I had to be a princess. Confused about why I had to be a Fatechanger. And I was irritated about why the world had to have granted the three of us - stupid teenagers - of all people to be able to redirect the path of fate.
By the time I got to my room, I was exhausted. Not from the soreness of my legs caused by the long winding staircases, not from the long day, but from the many thoughts that were colliding with my brain every few seconds. I collapsed onto my bed with worry and squeezed my eyes shut.
The door was suddenly jerked open. I immediately sat up and was about to jump up and try to escape in case there was danger, until I noticed that the person who opened the door was Livia.
"Why are you in such a rush?" I asked Livia when I noticed her panting.
"I-" She stopped to take a deep breath, "need to tell you something about this "plan"
"Me too." I said with worry evident in my voice.
"Why are you so worried?" She asked me genuinely.
"No reason..." I looked down to the floor to avoid eye contact, "Livia, I have to tell you something."
"What is it?" She asked with a mix of a scared tone and a worried tone in her voice.
"When you were talking to Queen Natasha, I went back to the library to try and get the truth out of Daman. He gave in and told me to tell you to meet up with him in the library tomorrow at noon." I said a million miles an hour, while a rush of exhaustion came over me. I felt overwhelmed by everything.
"So, it was a plan..." Livia did not sound worried the tiniest bit.
"If you don't mind me asking, what did your mother need to ask you about?" I asked the question that I was dying to know about.
"She wanted to tell me to be aware of Jargona, she said they don't seem right." Livia said.
"Well, I guess that is good." I crossed my arms unconsciously, "That she figured it out, I mean."
She let out a sigh, "We have to know by today."
"Why? We can wait."
"The meeting ends tomorrow. If this plan is something bad, we have to hatch a complicated plan to escape. Shouldn't you know all this? Since, you are the 'inventor' in Sullersy."
