3.. 2.. 1... RUN! I ran as fast, but also as quiet as I could down the hallway to my left, to the stairs. 29... 30... Phew, I made it before the next guard came. Why did I have to be the one with guard protection that switches every half an hour with only a thirty second time gap?

I went up the stairs to the seventh floor, which is where the diplomatic guest rooms are positioned. I knocked once, no answer. Twice, no answer. Thrice, I'm coming in!

Upon going in, I immediately rushed to where Zoey's bed was supposed to be on my right and tried to not bump into anything in the darkness of the room.

"Zoey! Wake up!" I whisper-yelled in her ear.

As I was about to nudge her, her body suddenly shuddered and her eyes opened. As she did that, I quickly swallowed a scream that was about to escape my mouth.

"What?!" She snapped angrily, "NO! Don ea ma wishy wishy swishy fishy!"

I stifled a laugh that threatened to come out of my throat, "Zoey! We have to go meet Daman because he's going to tell us about the plan!"

"Noooooo, don wan be da thir wheel! You go on date wid him wif out meeeeee!"

At that, I felt my cheeks slightly burn, why am I blushing? I don't like him!

"Zoey! You have to wake up! It's almost three thirty and we have to get out of here by then, or we're not going to be able to make it to the thirteenth floor broom closet!" The clock above her bedroom door was barely visible through the darkness but I managed to see, so I kept glancing at it now and then, hoping to whoever was watching over us that the time would stop so that we could be able to quickly get out of here on time.

"A broom or a bucket?" Zoey groggily said and then rolled over.

"Oh my goodness! Zoey, I seriously don't have time for this. We seriously don't have time for this!" My anxiousness turned into something like exasperation; who knew that Princess Zoey, the most intelligent of all, was like this in her sleep?

As I was about to give up and go without her, she suddenly jerked awake, "Oh my goodness, we're late! Oh my goodness! We have to go NOW! It's going to be so insulting to have the prince of Jargona waiting on us! Oh, no! What if we don't get past the monitors in time? We're going to be so late!"

"No, we're not. But we are definitely going to be late if you don't get yourself together!" I grabbed what I assumed was her left arm and physically dragged her out of bed. Immediately after, I heard a thud.

"Ow! Did you have to do that?"

"Yes. Now let's go!" The clock's second hand slowly but surely ticked down to 3:33am.

With that, I dragged Zoey out the door and towards the stairways to the right.

We ran up the stairs and when we got to the 13th floor we were both panting.

"Is this the 13th floor?" Zoey whispered.

"Yeah... but where is Daman?" I said, kind of loudly.

"Shush, somebody might hear us!" Zoey put her pointer finger to her mouth.

"No, I won't shush, you shush!" I continued to walk towards the end of the hall.

I silently pointed to the broom closet's polished oak doors and slowly pulled it open. Noticing that Daman wasn't there yet, I motioned for Zoey to sit down with me.
