A/N:

This chapter was a little short, but we didn't really have anything else to write on this chapter, sorry!

The Narvella annual breakfast ball was a spectacle of elegance and refinement, held within the sun-drenched halls of the royal palace. As the morning light streamed through stained glass windows, casting a kaleidoscope of colours across the polished marble floors, I found myself lost in a whirlwind of whispers and laughter.

Dressed in a gown of shimmering silk, my hair adorned with delicate pearls, I moved with grace and poise amidst the assembled nobles and dignitaries. Beside me, Zoey glided effortlessly through the crowd, her laughter ringing like silver bells in the crisp morning air.

But beneath the façade of gaiety, a shadow of unease lingered in my heart. Daman's cryptic words echoed in my mind, I must warn you... He had said before. It was a puzzle with pieces that refused to fit together. I stole a glance at Zoey, my best friend and confidante, and I saw the same furrow of concern etched upon her brow.

"What do you think he meant?" Zoey whispered, her voice barely audible above the chatter of the crowd.

I shook my head, my thoughts racing as I tried to make sense of Daman's enigmatic warning.

"I'm not sure," I replied, my words tinged with uncertainty. "But there's something he's not telling us, something... sinister."

Zoey's eyes widened with apprehension, her gaze darting around the room as if searching for hidden threats. "Do you think Jargona is plotting against us?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly with worry.

My heart clenched at the thought, a chill creeping down my spine. "I don't know," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "But we can't afford to ignore his warning. We need to find out what he's planning before it's too late."

With a shared nod of determination, we set off into the crowd of guests, our steps quickening as we sought out answers amidst the sea of faces and swirling skirts. We darted between clusters of nobles, our ears tuned in to snippets of conversation that hinted at hidden intrigues.

"He's up to something, I just know it," Zoey muttered, her eyes narrowing with suspicion as she scanned the room for any sign of the elusive prince.

I nodded in agreement, my heart pounded in my chest as I fought to keep pace with my friend.

"But what could it be?" I wondered aloud, "And why would he want to keep it a secret from us?"

As the morning wore on, our quest for answers led us to the farthest reaches of the palace, where the air was thick with the scent of freshly baked pastries and the sound of soft music drifted through the open windows. We paused for a moment to catch our breath.

"We need to be careful," I cautioned, my voice low with urgency. "Whatever Jargona is planning, it's clear that they don't want us to know about it."

Zoey nodded, her jaw set with determination. "Then we'll just have to find out for ourselves," she declared, her eyes blazing with resolve.

Our footsteps echoed in the empty corridors as we delved deeper into the heart of the palace. We would need to uncover the truth hidden amidst the veiled intrigues of Jargona. I thought as we ventured deeper into the Narvellish palace. My mind raced with questions, each one more pressing than the last. What secrets lay hidden within Jargona? And what role did Daman play in the intricate tapestry of deception that threatened to unravel their world? What did we have to do with this?

"We need to tread carefully," I cautioned, as we navigated the maze of hallways. "Daman doesn't know that we are sneaking into his room. If Daman suspects anything, who knows what he might do."
