Hey y'all! So sorry to keep you waiting but we are finally going to continue publishing! After we have discussed it a bit we decided to start again! We'll end posting our novel on Wattpad sadly with this chapter. But we have gone through some hard times and eventually quit being friends with each other. Friendship breakups can be hard and difficult to get over with. Me and Natalia have decided that we should continue posting. Jasmine helped us a lot so she definitely is still considered an author. We will continue posting today and I hope you will like the this chapter! And we know our cover sucks but we'll change it soon! BTW the cover is of Liv and Daman if you are wondering (sorry Zoey we had to).
"The sensors run on hydropower. And there has to be a connector - a wire - to make the thing work. I think I can reach and unplug the wires at its blind spot." Typical Zoey... Why did she make these motion sensors? How do motion sensors have a blind spot?
We tiptoed up to the wooden door and I slowly opened it so that it wouldn't creek as loudly.
The guards shouldn't be out yet. But there could be a guard walking up the stairs to get to their room above. But it's very unlikely, so we probably won't get caught.
I should have been more careful because right after we turned left toward the stairs we heard some loud footsteps and then a voice, "Hey! What are you three doing out here in the middle of the night? Is there something wrong, Your Highnesses?"
As soon as I heard the voice, I knew we were in trouble; this man was not just any royal guard patrolling the floor, he was the Lord Commander of Narvella, Kingsley.
"Uhhh... No, we were, uh..." I struggled with a palpable reason, "So we were going for a walk. Yes! That's it. We were going for a walk!"
I knew my excuse was wimpy before it even came out of my mouth, but I guess it was better than saying nothing.
I didn't dare peel my eyes off of the intimidating muscular man, but I could feel Daman mentally rolling his eyes at me, "No, sir. There is nothing wrong. We were... Lost."
Where does the good excuse maker go when we need that side of him? When I finally decided to quickly look at my friends, I saw Zoey's look of absolute fear, but Daman had a confident smile painted on his face.
As I looked at him in confusion, he walked towards the dazed Lord Commander slowly and with coolheadedness.
Eventually, the two men were just inches away from each other. That's when Daman reached out with his right arm and clasped onto Kingsley's left forearm.
"No! Don't do it!" Zoey whisper-screamed to Daman.
Daman looked back at Zoey with a playful apologetic smile. I guess he didn't listen to Zoey because a forceful blinding light, stronger than when he brainwashed Athena, started to flow into the forearm of the poor man.
The Lord Commander squeezed his eyes shut and made a futile attempt to step back from Daman's powerful clutches.
"Daman, stop!" I screamed as loud as I could without waking up the other lords and ladies on this floor.
If Daman does this, we could all get into massive trouble. Why didn't I be more careful when sneaking out of the room?
I had to cover my eyes to prevent the blinding light from getting to them. When I felt that the room had dimmed after a few seconds, I uncovered my eyes and saw one of the most respected men in the kingdom passed out on the floor with the prince of Jargona standing over him with a grim smile.
