Yozora pov:Chapter 11: Love and Lies

(timeskip: 5 months)
I just got home with Faye from some random concert i was forced to do. The weariness doesn't even shake me now. Ive gotten so used to it that i don't even feel the pain in me. However, I just ran from a couple of insane fans and i'm kinda shell-shocked.
"Are you ok?" asked Faye
I plastered a smile on my face and said "Never better."
"Stop it. Stop faking. I can tell when you're faking and when you're not, so stop that fake smile act right now. You're not okay and i know that. Spit it out."
"Im fine," I say even though she's like 89% correct. Im not okay.
"STOP FAKING AND SPIT IT OUT!"
" Okay, okay! Fine. Im not okay. Its just that i lie so much that i don't even know what are lies and what the truth is. To be frank, sometimes i dont even know whether im truly smiling or its just fake," I say and begin sobbing.
"No. No. Its okay. The fans don't know that."
She's trying to patronise me.
"No! Its not." I look up and open my eyes. "Don't you know? Lies are the most exquisite form of love!" I smile the most pretty smile i can muster and continue, " We pile lies upon lies upon lies until they become the truth! That's love! My love! Fake it till you make it-"
I break off when i realise Faye is staring at me with the most incomprehensible look ever.
"What?"
"Your eyes. Melody. The stars in your eyes. They're......black." She stutters out.
"Wh-huh? You're bluffing." I manage to choke out.
This has never happened before, maybe once only, for the briefest of moments.
We stay silent for a bit and i finally decide to pull out a mirror and take a look. My eyes are normal, as always. But i know of this phenomenon and i know that Faye would not be lying.
"Im sorry."
"For what?" Im surprised by her sudden apology.
" For making you flip out. I-I really didn't mean it. I just- I just care, okay? You're my best friend and I don't want to see you hurt or suffer, okay?"
I'm taken aback for a second by her sudden show of affection.
"That's okay," I say as i pull her into a hug.
Maybe love and lies aren't really the same thing after all....
