(The Himalayas)

Today was the day. After 9 long months, the Al Ghul's were ready to welcome the future heir of their empire. Throughout the 9 months of Talia's pregnancy, Ra's had artificially implanted steroids into his daughter's food. Ensuring that the child would not face any setback's as they made their entrance into this world.

The gender of the baby was unknown. Talia was afraid of the reprimand she would face from Ra's if the heir was a female. Although the League of Assassins believed in equality for all, Ra's wanted a male who would carry on the family last name and his lasting legacy. So Talia decided to leave the gender undisclosed until the last minute. Giving her enough time to articulate a plan to discard of the child, if deemed necessary.

The birth was long and painful. With Midwife's rushing in and out of the chamber. Ra's waited patiently at his own chamber. He knew his daughter would overcome her temporary burden and was counting on the "medicine" he had fed Talia over the last few months to pull her and the child through. This was one of the few times in his life he would show any sort of "care" for his child. Unfortunately, he saw her as a mere pawn in his grand master plan to rule the world. It would be no different for her offspring. And Talia knew this.

Hours Later

A loud wail of a newborn's crying echoed through the walls of the temple.

"It's a young Master!" yelled the Midwife.

Talia was relieved, but something felt off. She felt another wave of pain rush through her body.

"What's wrong with me? Are we not finished here?!" groaned Talia.

"Madam, it seems you are still experiencing contractions, could it be possible there will be two heirs tonight?" asked the Midwife.

"Impossible." Talia said.

As far as she knew, Talia had only been made aware of a singular child in her womb. She even made it a point to assure herself of this, that way she would avoid having to divide her time and inheritance over the children. Resulting in weaker individuals.

By this point, Ra's was eager to meet the heir of the Al Ghul legacy. He was aware of the young master's identity and was satisfied with Talia's efforts. However, the midwives urged Ra's from entering Talia's chamber. As she was experiencing "complications" as Talia requested them to refer to it as. Confused and annoyed by the situation, he waited by the corridor outside of Talia's chamber. Unbeknownst to the servants, where Ra's could hear everything that was going on.

20 Minutes later.

The second child had finally been delivered, but there was no cry. No sign of life came from the newborn's body. The midwives hurriedly tried to get the child to cry.

"Why isn't it making any noise?" Talia was growing impatient.

"Madam we are doing what we can" said the Midwife.

Talia was now worried about what was going on with her other child. One had already come out perfectly fine, she was a healthy woman, and she had access to some of the best medical care (or so she thought) she had no idea how she had come to this situation. Twin's weren't what she preferred, but there was no reason for death to make that choice for her. If someone was going to make the last call over what was gonna happen to her babies, it was going to be herself. But at this moment, she felt helpless.

Finally, a short and weak wail left the child's body. A wave of exhaustion and comfort hit Talia's body.
Only one thing was left to figure out. In the midst of all the chaos, the midwives had forgotten to reveal the gender of the child to Talia.

"Congratulations Madam, a Young Miss for the Al Ghul's!" exclaimed the midwife.

Talia's heart sank. One thing was gonna be to have at least two males fighting for the family inheritance. But how was this child ever gonna live up to her first-born older brother. There was no use for her and Talia knew that.

Both children were placed in her arms. On her right arm was the young master, he was heavy and looked strong, with cheeks full, and a head full of dark hair, with a reddish complexion. Physically, he was already living up to his title and was completely Al Ghul. On her left arm, Talia almost forgot of the babies existence. She was light, and looked weak. Although, her cheeks were plump and rosy. She had light brown hair and her complexion was still adjusting from the blue tone it had taken because she was refusing to cry. Stubborn, like her father.

The night grew quiet. The young master was placed in a custom crib by Talia's bed. As for the young miss, she was placed in a makeshift cradle made of a wooden box. Talia felt bad, but there was no time for a pity-party. She had to figure out how to handle this before Ra's found out. She ordered the servant's and midwives to report to Ra's Al Ghul until the morning. Under the guise that she was resting after a difficult birth. This would give her enough time to come up with a plan on what to do with the young miss.

Talia sent everyone out of her chamber and for a moment was met with the tranquility of the night. She let out a long sigh and got on her feet to look out of the window. Breathing in the coarse, cold, Himalayan, air. Just minutes ago, she was more worried about where she needed to take the babies body to rest peacefully. But going forward, she has to evade this moment of her life, forever.
