Levi followed Hange down the dock, examining all the new prisoners they would be taking in. Marley still sent their ships every other month, either through curiosity or sheer stupidity. He never understood why they sent more and more people and not once set a full-scale attack on them when they didn't have their people returned. It was suspicious, but he couldn't do much about it. He already had too much to look out for in Paradis.

"It's risky." Levi started, looking over at Hange who was crouched on the ground, looking over at some weird shell that they collected just mere moments ago from the beach.

"What is?" Hange asked, barely giving Levi any attention.

Levi clicked his tongue, swearing in his mind. "Supporting the Resistance." He answered before snatching the shell away after Hange didn't answer him.

"Hey!" Hange whined before settling down on the rock with a sigh. They looked up at the sky, leaning on their arms and closing their eyes. "It is risky."

"Then why the fuck are we going forward with the plan?" Levi huffed and sat down beside them.

"I don't think Marley is going to sit back and do nothing for the rest of their lives. We have to establish some sort of power in the world outside." They plucked out some grass and threw it on Levi.

"Stop that. I still think it's risky that we're doing all this..."

"Don't worry, we've got the Azumabitos and our dear Zeke by our side working inside Marley for us. We got a good hold on this."

"What about the rest of the Resistance? We'll be working with the Middle Eastern and South Asian forces who are hostile against Eldians."

"A common enemy can unite the biggest of foes, Levi."

"Don't tell me as if I don't know about that. But what about after the defeat of Marley, considering that happens? Do you think everything will be fine and dandy with everyone frolicking in their dainty tutus?"

"Why are you such a pessimist?"

The ordeal concerning Paradis officially working with outside forces to go against their enemy was a huge step in both bravery and recklessness. Paradis working as a stable front in the war was yet to be announced, but the main leaders of the Resistance, consisting of Leaders of Hizuru, the Middle East and South Asia were the only ones to know their alliance with the supposed devils of Paradis.

Levi found this situation absolutely pathetic. He found too many flaws in the Alliance's plans. Many things could go wrong, heck, everything could go wrong. Ever since the first ship managed to fall into the clutches of the Scouts with Yelena and Onyakopon offering peace in Zeke's name, every plan or thought about the future had gone down the drain. Only after a serious meeting held between all the sections of the Military, did they decide to work with Zeke after the pros outweighed the cons.

Levi hated it. Absolutely hated it.

But nothing could go more wrong when his already miscalculated plan could get more miscalculated than already how miscalculated the miscalculations were.

He remembered gritting his teeth when he was in the tent, a meeting held on the shores of Paradis with the Leader of the Resistance-  Friedrich Fischer, a man of blond hair and abnormally tall, had announced one of their most recent failures. A failure so big that they lost about 150 men in their attacks.

"What happened?" Levi almost spat at him, remembering how 30 men and women had aided the Resistance from Paradis.

"It was a surprise attack, something none of the troops at the front expected. One second they were eating their lunch, and the next they were blown to bits." Friedrich grumbled with a sour look. The entire plan of attack was to first send scouting legions to the front and assess the situation, and when they got a clearing signal, three more ships were sent with more troops. Only one ship came back.
