{ASHA FOUNDATION SHELTER HOME}

Nandini: What is wrong with you, Mr. Malhotra? How can you just pull me like this?

Manik: So, you remember me?

Nandini: Well, I don't want to, but destiny seems to have other plans.

Manik: Wow! Destiny and all.

Nandini: Now, can you please move?

[Nandini gestures for him to move away, showing their closeness. Manik smirks and leans near her ear, his hot breath fanning her neck. She clutches her saree to control her heavy breathing.]

Manik: Why? Can't you handle this closeness?

Manik: Why? Can't you handle this closeness?

[Nandini snaps back to her senses and, with all her strength, pushes him away. Manik stumbles but maintains his balance.]

Manik: Impressive. You seriously have guts. So, let's get to the point.

[Nandini folds her arms in front of her chest and looks at him with determination.]

Nandini: What do you want to talk about?

Manik: Do you have any idea why we are here?

Nandini: Yes. I know your grandmother. She is an old friend of mine Nanimaa, which is why you're here.

Manik: And you knew about this beforehand?

Nandini: Nope. As you already know, I didn't have enough time to check the guest list.

Manik: Don't try to outsmart me. Next question, what did you say to Abhimanyu?

[Nandini gives a wicked smile.]

Nandini: So, this is what's bothering you. But sorry to disappoint you, I didn't share anything with him.

[Manik's anger flares and he grabs her arms with a strong grip.]

Manik: Don't you dare lie to me. You've already faced the consequences.

Nandini: Manik, leave me. (struggling to free herself from his hard grip) I said leave me!

Manik: Then tell me the truth, damn it. Because of your lie, he is hurting my Mukti.

Nandini: Manik, why would I lie to you? I didn't say anything to him about our encounter. And why is he hurting Mukti?

Manik: Don't act too innocent in front of me.

Nandini: I seriously don't know what you're trying to say.

Manik: I am giving you one last chance to confess. Or else, I will make your life hell.

Nandini: I don't know how to convince you that I didn't tell him anything. I didn't have the time, and you know that. Nanimaa's happiness was my priority, which is why I'm trying my best to act like we don't know each other.
