Dhanzielle
I exit the class and find my locker, and heave a big sigh. I think I made a good impression on the class, especially on the teacher. I fumble around my pockets to find the key to my locker and find the guy I had made a fool of earlier, Reece? Was it? And whom I assume to be his friend, Julian standing right next to my locker. I made my way over there, my confident stride locked in my posture. Once they notice me, I smile my perfect school president smile at them before I turn to my locker, which is very organized and loft styled to get my book for the next class.
When I close my door, Julian is facing me. "Hi, Julian right? Do you need something?" I smile. "So Dhanzielle, I was wondering if you remember my friend over here," he jerked his head to the direction of Reece... Reece... REECE! I used to admire that guy back in fifth grade, I mean, it's not just anyone who can contest me and actually make me try in competitions. Realizing I was probably zoning out, I snap back to my reality.
"Oh? Reece was it?" I ask. "Yeah, him." Julian responds glancing at Reece who was leaning against a locker, and out of the blue... he sends a glare which might as well have been daggers with the way he looked at me, my way. "Uhm-" I mutter, confused. "Do you have a staring problem? Or is that your way of admiring." I taunt at an attempt to be funny. And um. Bad mistake. Reece looks as if he had been slapped and strides away with a huff.
"Reece! Wait up!" Julian turns and runs after Reece. I tilt my head, did it come out that wrong? I didn't think too much I suppose, then I remember the reason I was so excited to finally be able to transfer here. I start at a walk then sped up when I finally saw her.
"CARMILLA!" I squeal. "DHANZYYY!" She replies as she meets me halfway with a bear hug. "Girl I missed you so much!" She sighs against me. I pull back, smiling. "We. Have. So. Much. To. Talk. About." I say.
Later that evening, me and Carmilla decide to stop by a cute café to have some coffee. But mostly to get in the latest gossip in our lives. "So~" Carmilla hummed as she sipped her Mocha Caramel Latte. "See anyone recently?" I sigh, this was a number 1 question of course. "No, well, none recently." I huff as I sipped my own coffee. "Well, find any guys cute at our school?"
I thought about that for a moment, skimming through the memory of new faces I had seen back at class. "Hm, yeah no i've got none." I puff. "Well no need to worry, there are so much cute guys here. I can even introduce you to some of them!" Carmilla hummed. "Yeah well, remember my dream job? I need top grades for that. But I guess it wouldn't hurt for some fun~" I joke. "Oh Dhanz, don't even remind me. You had to babble about all the pros and cons about being a doctor and a lawyer before you settled on trying to be a lawyer." She pouted at me. "Oh! And hey, remember that guy you had to share awards with at 5th grade? Yeah, well he's the soon to be 'class president'. But! But- I personally think he needs an opponent." She wriggled her eyebrows at me.
"What do you want me to do? Run against him on a whim?" I ask with a smirk. class president was a good title, it could give me recognized, fast. "The election isn't for months, Dhanz." I stare for a bit, if I wanted a good name in this new school, i'm getting a good name.
