It was around 3 pm, and Lucy's caseworker was fighting the court. The police thought she was behind a homicide case, however, when the homicide happened, she was in school. "Unless you can provide someone, or something to prove her innocence, she will be locked up." Now the caseworker knew of the Avengers, and decided to ask them for help. He replied, "I do know of someone who was on scene," The police gave him 1 week to provide evidence, before locking her up, he took her straight to the Avengers tower. Rhodey was there, and after hearing the full story, they all got to work. Lucy was crying, and staying near her caseworker, he was trying to console her. Nat, noticed, and came over, "hi, what's your name," Lucy was crying so much her caseworker answered for her, "her name's Lucy, she's 10 years old." Nat smiled at her, making her feel better, she stopped crying and spoke. "I really hope they find the evidence needed," "they will, I promise," Nat soothed her. Lucy then thought of something, "MR. Sam," she called her caseworker, who immediately turned his attention to her. "We can provide evidence I was in school at the time, The school has security cameras in all the classrooms, so if we ask for the footage, we can Prove I was in School." The caseworker eyes widened, he hadn't thought of that before, he immediately called the school, and explained the situation, they said they'll have the footage ready in 1 hour. 1 hour later, everyone was heading to the school, the caseworker ran inside to grab the footage. Then it was off to the police station to hand it over, Nat went inside with the caseworker, and Lucy. As the caseworker handed off the evidence, Lucy, and Nat sat in a waiting room. "I'm scared," ''I know, it'll be okay," when the caseworker returned, the sheriff was with him. "The evidence has been provided, and she is free to go," Lucy ran out, dragging Nat behind her, and the caseworker followed. Back at the compound, the others were waiting anxiously, when Nat, and Lucy returned without the caseworker, they knew what had happened. When they got inside they let everyone get settled first, then Tony started the introductions. When it reached Lucy, she shied away at first, then, "hi I'm Lucy." "So Lucy," Steve asked, "Where were you before this," Lucy looked uneasy, "Foster care." Everyone looked at each other, and Nat felt bad so she contacted the caseworker. The caseworker confirmed she was in foster care, and Nat said she wanted to adopt Lucy. The caseworker got the papers, and left to give them to Nat. Lucy had been with Wanda up in her new room, and when she heard a knock on the door, she was shocked to see the caseworker. "Hi Lucy, Is Miss Nat here," Lucy replied, "yes, she's right there," she points to the lounge. The caseworker walks over, hands Nat the papers, as he's leaving tells Lucy, "you can call Nat mommy if you're comfortable doing that." Lucy was confused but said, "okay," then he left, once he left, Lucy went over to Nat. Nat was filling out the paper work, and Wanda told Lucy, "wanna see where Nat trains?" Lucy nodded, when they were walking, Wanda was talking to Lucy who revealed, that Lucy wasn't her birth name. Wanda's interest was perked, "what is your birth name," "Annabella - but I don't wanna talk about why I don't use it anymore." Wanda smiled, and dropped that conversation, then they reached the training room.
