If you're looking for a guy who would utter heavenly romantic phrases but would never confess due to his lack of belief in love, then my husband is the epitome of that.

Yesterday, I thought he was going to confess magically, but all he did after reaching home was work on his laptop until I fell asleep.

Moreover, when I woke up, Salar was already off to his office!

I'm not letting this slide. He knows me as sweet, jolly, and soft Tanzeela, but it's time to show him my other side as well.

My fingers rapidly move over the keypad, and I dial his number, resisting the urge to blurt out as soon as he picks up.

"Hello, Salar Shah speaking," he greets in his husky voice that weakens me at the knees.

No, Tanzeela! Stop simping over him right now!

I remind myself of the reason for calling and begin, "Where are you right now? In your office or a meeting room?" Adopting his straightforward tone, I adjust myself snugly on the sofa. "Mia anima, I'm in a meeting right now. Do you need anything?"

"Put the phone on the speaker." I can feel his smirk, but there's little chance he's fuming right now. "Done." His challenging tone sends a thrill through my veins that I can't explain.

"Excuse me, I'm Mrs. Tanzeela Salar Shah, and this meeting is adjourned." I hear a low chuckle from Salar, but let's save it for the next bomb I'm about to drop. "Mr. Salar Shah, you are required to come home immediately, or I'll throw your laptop out the window."

"Alright, gentlemen, the meeting is adjourned. And mia anima, why threaten me when I'll run towards you after an order?"

"I want you here in 30 minutes."

"I'll be there within 10. On my way, ma'am."

I cut the call. Like I said, he knows what he's doing.

As I sit on the sofa, my mind races with conflicting emotions.

Does Salar really love me, or is he just playing the part? If he doesn’t, then why does he act so tender and caring? Why does he say things that make my heart flutter and my knees weak?

The more I think about it, the more I feel a lump of frustration forming in my throat.

And on top of that, we have to go to my cousin's place today, and Salar is acting like nothing has happened.

The door opens with a click, and Salar steps inside. His presence fills the room, and I can feel the tension in my chest rising
