Chapter 15

Zenitsu pov

"What" He asked obviously confused. I knew that in time I would have to face Kaigaku and for that I would have to be myself which will lead myself to reveal to Tanjiro so why not I do it now? I asked myself. Then I looked at him thoughtfully. He still looked confused. I then walked towards him, which confused him even more.

"I said that the one I have feelings is you, Tanjiro" I said in my actual voice making him look surprise.

"You...Are you actually- Zenitsu Agatsuma" I say interrupting him. His eyes widen in shock and then sadness.

"Hey, what's up?" I ask, worried about how drastically his emotions changed.

"You left because of me" He answered smiling a nonchalant smile. Did he take it that way? Shit.

"It's not like that. I'll explain later, okay" I affirmed him. Then I moved closer to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him into a hug. Without any wait he responded by wrapping his arms around my waist and tightening the hug. He then snuggled his face in the crook of my neck.

"You smell different" He mumbled, still in the hug. I let out a light chuckle and broke away. He looked at me like a confused puppy. I then pulled down my Haori till my elbows and removed the talisman that was placed on the middle of my back.

"What about now?" I asked again. He just smiled and pulled me in for another hug. I heard him sniff me again. He then released a sigh of satisfaction and we stayed that way for a few more minutes.

We broke apart when I heard a light thud from behind us.

"Have you come here to lose?" A voice boomed. A very familiar voice.

"Lose? I'm pretty sure you were the one who lost last time, Aniki" I replied. A laughter laced with anger boomed through out the room.

Tanjiro moved closer towards me, ready to attack.

"Tell the red head to move, loser. This fight is just between us" He warned. I turned to Tanjiro with a smile and placed a hand on his reassuringly.

"This is personal. I don't want you to get involved in it. Please " I begged. He looked unsure but agreed.

"Come out you coward" I called out, angering him.

"Coward? You are the one who cried at the sight of demons" He hissed.

"Didn't that mean you got slayed by a coward?" I asked with a wide smirk.

Thunder breathing, second form: Rice spirit

I hadn't expected that. So that had resulted in his blood demon art working on me and forming cracks on my face.

"Zenitsu!!" Tanjiro called out. Worry laced his words. "It's fine, I can deal with it" I reassured him. He looked conflicted.

Thunder breathing, first form: thunderclap and flash, eightfold.

I attached Kaigaku in a barrage of attacks, only of him to dodge it. He grinned at me slyly and sent an attack of towards me.

"You really don't know when to stop do you?" Kaigaku asks almost grimacing. I could hear his fury clearly along with Tanjiro's worry.
