Chapter 6

　

I couldn't beleive Jeremy had done this to me. After all I had went through for him. After all I had done just to save him. I did it for nothing, I realized.

Right now I was sitting in a dark closet crying my eyes out. I had never felt this betrayed. Dying right now didn't seem like the worst thing that could happen to me. It would be the best, in my view. It's simpler. Easier. Less painful.

I got up off the floor of the closet and walked out into the bright hallway. The first person I seen was a guy with fair midnight black hair and beautiful lavender eyes. He was the most beautiful person I had ever seen. But he's a Vampire, I reminded myself. They can't be trusted, obviously.

" You okay?" He asked me.

" No."

" You wanna talk about it?"

" No." I looked into his sad eyes and threw myself into his arms even though I didn't know him.

" He... Cheated... On... Me... After... I... Went... Through... Hell... To... Save... Him...!" I blubbered. He put his strong arms around me and started to smooth back my hair with his hand.

" Shh... it's okay. I know how it feels."

" How could you possibly know what it feels like?" I pushed him away from me and stared up at him. He shook his head and took my hand in his.

We started walking down the hall and I looked into the open door where I had seen Jeremy and Kaitlynn making out. I was sure it was Kaitlynn because she was just unforgetable and there was noone like her.

I picked up my long red flowing dress as we walked down the stairs. He looked down at me while he opened the ballroom door, and smiled.

" So you never told me your name." He said, " Mine's Tyson." I smiled back up at him and said, " Mine's Jaimie."

His smile dissapeared for a second and a flash of fear went through his eyes, but then the smile came back.

" That's a pretty name."

" Thanks..." Tyson and I walked out onto the dance floor while I looked around to make sure that Chase wasn't anywhere around. Thankfully he wasn't.

How could that have happened? How could one second Kaitlynn be telling me about how I was some prophecies super vampire, the next kissing her, and then the next have Jaimie of all people, walk in on us? I don't know what came over me, I thought. How could I have just cheated on Jaimie like that and liked it? It was so wrong it made me want to punch myself. I had lost the greatest girl in the world for a girl that was beautiful but mean. She hadn't even cared that my girlfriend had just broken up with me, and broken my heart. But I guess that was my own fault.

" Just forget about her." Kaitlynn had said.

" But I can't!" I had yelled back. Then Kaitlynn had walked out of the room in a rage.

I knew that I had done wrong and I had to fix it. I had to make Jaimie love me again. Only me. Even if that meant turning her into a vampire just like me and forcing her to run away with me.

I was in the ballroom, and I was looking straight at Jaimie. She was with some guy with black hair. Jaimie had a glassy look in her eyes and they were kind of puffy and red.

Oh god. I had made her cry.

She didn't seem to notice me as I started walking towards her and black hair boy. It only took a second for me to get in between her and him.
