Chapter 2

He had dark brown hair that was long but not too long and deep chocolate puppy eyes that you could get lost in. The clothes he was wearing complimented his hot body and his shoes were DC. I instantly recognized him as my boyfriend, Jeremy.

" What are you doing here Jeremy!" I asked, " You know my dad hates it when you sneak into my room at night!" Jeremy just smiled and replied laughing, " Correction, your dad hates me. Period. Your dad hates it when I'm even in your house or room. Day and night." He put on the puppy dog face and pretended to be sad.

"You're not going to kick me out are you? If you do I know you don't love me." Jeremy started to get up but I pushed him back down onto the bed. He wanted to say something but I fell on top of him and pressed my lips to his. He wrapped his arms around my back and pulled me closer. I tangled my fingers through his hair and pulled him forward even more.

Jeremy was such a good kisser. I don't know how I could have gotten a better boyfriend then him. I could not live without him. He was like the other half of me, and without that other half I would be nothing. It was a good thing he thought that I was the hottest thing he had ever met.

He wasn't just with me for my looks though. Jeremy had told me that he liked me because I had a very interesting personality, I was nice to pretty much everyone unless they made me mad, and I wasn't afraid to eat a cheeseburger in front of him.

I was with Jeremy because every day since grade three he had said that I was the prettiest girl he had ever met and he loved me. What girl in her right mind wouldn't like a hot, sweet, and very cuddly guy to be her boyfriend? I mean really, he was very romantic.

Suddenly, my door opened and in walked a very angry looking man. That man just happened to be the creepy " cannibal" guy Corey. Out of instict I quickly pulled my covers over Jeremy and I. I had done this many times with my father. Hopefully Corey thought that I was invisible now and left. Of course, he didn't. Corey pulled the blankets back from over me first and then Jeremy because I was now on my back beside him.

" Oh look what we have here! Two lovestruck teenagers about to get their hearts broken! How lovely" He growled, " Me and Kaitlynn really didn't like you running off like that Jaimie."

" Get away from my girlfriend." Jeremy said protectively. Corey just smiled. I saw a hint of fear in Jeremy's eyes but I knew he wouldn't act like a coward in front of me. Corey's lips curved into a hateful smirk as he grabbed Jeremy's arm and pulled him off the bed. I grabbed Jeremy's hand and swore when Corey punched my wrist down. " Oh you think you're oh-so-powerful since you can pull someone off a bed and punch a girl? You're real manly." I said angrily. Once again I grabbed Jeremy's hand and I pulled him back towards me.

This time, Corey didn't even try to punch me.

Corey's face reddened even more and he raised his hand, the back of it facing me. " What are you going to-" I was cut off by the pain of Corey slapping me. My hand went to my cheek and my eyes filled with tears. " Don't touch her!" Yelled Jeremy as he lunged off of the bed. Jeremy's fist struck the side of Corey's face and he started to bleed all over my carpet. Great. Now I had to steam clean my room tomorrow.

Jeremy had a grin on his face and I could tell he thought he had won. Of course I knew he was wrong because Corey grabbed Jeremy by the neck and threw him to the ground. To my horror, as Corey opened his mouth, I saw two fangs sticking out of his gums ready to penetrate Jeremy's neck.

The fangs were long and delicate, but very pointy.

"No!" I screamed, " Don't kill him!" Jeremy's eyes were filled with terror. Corey's were filled with hunger. I leaped off the bed at Corey and grabbed him by the collar. His head smashed up against my door jam with a crack. I jumped back in shock. Had I killed him? Jeremy slowly sat up and looked at what I had done. " Nice."

I grinned at him, then looked out my window to see if the woman that was accompanying him in the forest was anywhere down the street. I took a step forward but someone grabbed my ankle and I fell. Corey was pulling me towards him with his teeth bared. In a panic I let out a bloodcurdling scream. Good thing mom and dad are away for a week or that would've woken them up.

Corey's eyes were bloodshot and angry. What did I ever do to him, I mean other than making that fragile looking woman yell at him. What was her name? Kaitlynn? Corey growled at me and I screamed. " Jeremy! Help me! Don't just lay there!" Jeremy was up in a flash grabbing onto Corey and pulling with all his might.

Corey turned around and lodged his fangs into Jeremy's neck. Jeremy let out a scream but then it was soon cut off as his eyes rolled into the back of his head. " No!" I yelled as Jeremy slumped up against my door lifelessly. I crawled next to his body and held him in my arms. " What are you Corey? How could-" My sentence was broke off by my own sob.

"Easy." said Corey, " I'm a vampire."

Corey got up and turned towards my door. " Thanks to your boyfriend, you get to live another day. Bye." He said slyly, " Enjoy explaining this to the police." Corey walked to my window and stepped onto the sill. He took a giant leap and went flying out my window onto the road. Amazingly, he seemed unharmed as he ran down the street at lightning speed.
