Chapter 5

~*~

The room was mostly red. There was soft classical music coming from the speakers and thats when I finally realized, I was in hell. Even though I was with the most gorgeous girl on the planet, I wanted to leave more than ever.

" Uh, I'm not feeling so well anymore." I whispered in Kaitlynn's ear. She turned to me with a sour look on her face.

" You're fine. You just don't want to see Kevin. Whatever. Just get over it." She said.

" But I don't like balls... I just realized." I grumbled, " Can we please go?"

" No."

" Fine." I said grumpily. Kaitlynn grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the dance floor. I wanted more than anything to just be back home rather than be at a ball.

To top off my misery, I seen Kevin walking straight for me.

Corey had drugged me. I was lying on his bed staring up at the ceiling while he went through a closet of fancy evening gowns. He had said he couldn't trust me by myself, in fear of me trying to run away.

My head felt foggy and I wanted to fall asleep, but I couldn't. If I fell asleep, that meant that Corey could take me anywhere, do whatever he wanted to me, and that was terrifying.

" What size are you? A 3?" Corey asked.

" 2." I said dizzily. My mind was whirling around and I could barely talk right. At this point, I wouldn't even mind if Chase was in the room.

" Okay then, let me see. This is perfect! You like red right?" Corey asked.

" Ya." I said sleepily, and that was when the blackness hit me.

When I woke up I was sitting in a chair wearing a long flowing red gown. It was gorgeous. It went down past my toes and it fit me like my own skin. I stood up and looked into the mirror in front of me, just to see that I looked amazing. My dark hair was in loose curls and my makeup was done perfectly. The red dress poofed where it was supposed to poof, flew out where it was supposed to, and stuck to me where it should. I looked like a goddess.

" You look hot." Chase said from behind me.

" Leave me alone you creep." I growled. Chase laughed and came up behind my left shoulder. He handed me a note written on what seemed like very expensive paper. It said:

Dear: Jaimie,

Turns out I can't attend the ball. Sucks hey? I knew how bad you wanted to go with me. Oh well. You now get to go with Chase. From now on, he is your boyfriend.

- Corey

PS. This is a vampire ball. So just so you know, Jeremy is going to be there. Too bad you can't even talk to him unless you are holding hands with Chase. Enjoy your time.

Jeremy was going to be there? Maybe this was my chance to save him! I could pretend to be going out with Chase, then when I ask for punch or something, I could run to Jeremy and we could escape together. It was the perfect plan. Now I just needed to text Jeremy to tell him my plan.

I turned around and looked for my clothes that I was wearing. They were nowhere to be found.

" Uh Chase? Where's all my stuff?" I asked. He shrugged and walked out the door. Great. My cell phone was in my jeans and I had no idea where they were. I looked around the huge black room just to find a giant black bed, a black dresser, a black night stand, 2 black walk in closets, one for a girl and one for a boy, a black mirror, and a black garbage bin. The only thing that wasn't black in the room was me. I was red.
