.Bree had told her many stories, she told her of the great seas she had traveled, of the great sea beast called leviathan that could swallow a mammoth whole, she traveled the six svoboda cities in the far southern seas, she also told her of the frozen sea in the far northern region, and of the lands unknown... She was in deep with Bree's stories that she didn't notice the time slowly slipping and that there was the princess who's asking for her.
"My lady?" She looks behind her to see Odette, who's standing beside a worried looking Neviska... Odette looked displeased and Neviska looks like she had just cried.
"Y-yes lady Odette?" She asked her, blinking innocently.
"The princess... My lady is asking for your urgent presence at the tower." Dae leaps from her feet, horrified that she had completely forgotten about the princess.
"Oh my! It slipped my mind." She told them, she turned to Bree and smiled at her.
"I'm sorry Bree... But I have to go, I'll catch you up tomorrow." She told her before following Odette and Neviska without as much as turning to look back at Bree.
"I'm so sorry, It really slipped my mind, I di-" She stopped apologizing to Odette and Neviska when Odette turned to her with look she had never seen before... Odette is mad... She could tell from the way she glares at her.
"You should not make the same mistake again my lady.... You have greatly insulted the princess by making her wait! To think that after all the trouble she went through just to help you, this is how you will repay her?!" Dae flinched at lady Odette's voice, she looks down at her feet in shame.
"Making the princess wait for a couple of minutes is punishable by law! And to make her wait for hours! Gods you could be dead by now if you weren't the king's favorite! You may be his new concubine, but do not forget your station! You are lower than her, and even lower than the others of the same position you hold.... You are nothing but a bastard daughter of a fallen king." Dae bit her lip and hold back her tear.
"Lady Odette...i-i think that's enough." Neviska said, standing beside Dae and putting a hand on her shoulder.
"No! Because of her you got punished! She doesn't care for you at all! Has no regards of the feelings of others and is selfish! And awfully naive! When are you going to stop living like this? So weak it's disgusting to look at!" Dae couldn't help but flinch at lady Odette's words, but she held back her tears... She knows that if she cries they'll only hate her more. People hate it when she cries. After that outburst lady Odette began walking, Neviska gently puts her arms around Dae.
"Let's go my lady... The princess is waiting." Neviska whispered to her, they began to walk following lady Odette, the whole time they are silent, Dae refuses to look at them, she kept her head down, ashamed of what she had done, ashamed of the trouble she had caused Neviska. The three of them arrived at the entrance of the east wing of the castle.
"The Princess is waiting for at the tower... I trust you know your way up there." Lady Odette spoke, not showing any hint of emotion, Dae just mutely nods her head. After that she and Neviska left without as much as any words, Dae looked at the eerily dimly lit hall of the east wing and the towering statues of golden dragons that lined it walls, Dae swallowed and began walking. As she makes her way Dae made sure to look at the displays, of portraits of people she didn't know and some portraiths of maps, she also saw things, like a sword, that looks old but was made of unknown steels. The hall of the east wing was a wonder itself, containing all the beautiful things she could see.
