I pressed my lips into a thin line and grabbed my gun tighter while my heart clenched in pain and sadness when I heard that this person did not like the fact that they hated the fact that they helped me when I was a child.

Did that mean that they would not help me, now..?

Timothy moved a bit closer to me, and I knew that he grabbed his gun tighter, too. He didn't say a word and narrowed his eyes while he waited for them to pass, but they did not and kept standing there as if they "knew" we were there but didn't.

Come on, I thought and bit back an annoyed sigh while I rolled my eyes and scowled. Let's go and keep it moving so that Timothy and I can leave and get some stuff done before my group gets here.

"I am so glad that you have seen the light, Comrade," the first one said with a sneer in their voice. "The King and I were getting worried."

"And why were you getting worried, Rothen?" the second one asked, and I had a feeling that they raised an eyebrow in question. "It was you who decided that it was the wind."

"You were the one that had said it was not the wind, Freyin," the other Addisan, Rothen, said. "What else would it have been besides the people that are with the Committee?" The other Addisan cleared their throat and shifted on their feet, looking around before they looked at Freyin. "Should we check out the noise and see if it is something interesting?"

"Yes," Freyin said and nodded in confirmation, and I grabbed my gun tighter while I set my jaw and narrowed my eyes because I hated the fact that they were going to check it out and not leave. "Let's go ahead and see what is going on. Why don't you take the lead this time?"

Shit...

"Sure," Rothen said and started to go in the direction that we were in, and I bit back a small hiss while I narrowed my eyes further, getting prepared for them to be near us so that we could attack and defend ourselves.

Timothy shifted over so slightly and got prepared to fight if he needed to, and I knew that he would watch my back and make sure that I would stay alive like I would with him.

However, we didn't need to worry about a fight because when Rothen took a step in our direction, there was this loud hiss and then some shuffling noises as one of them started to fight the other.

I bit back a small hiss and took a step back toward Timothy, pushing him back as well while I fiddled with my gun and took off the safety.

What the hell is going on, now?

Timothy bit back a small grunt and placed his hand on my back to keep me from moving further back. He didn't say a word and didn't try to move me forward again while we both listened to the sound of fighting Addisans, each one cursing at the other and kept fighting, trying to get the upper hand.

"Should we check it out or try to pass around them?" Timothy asked, his voice barely above a whisper while he leaned closer to my ear. He looked in the direction that they were in, and I could tell that he was worried and didn't know what to do.

I hesitated and shook my head. "We should stay put, Timothy," I said, knowing full well that there would be hell to pay if we moved and tried to pass them because they both could turn their attention to us and attack us instead of each other. "There is a chance that they will attack us instead of each other."

There was a gurgling scream from one of them, and I couldn't help but close my eyes part way and grit my teeth together while I grabbed my gun tighter.

Someone was starting to get killed, and I didn't know who...

Timothy pulled me closer to him and away from the sound of one Addisan killing the other, and he twisted me until I was facing him. He didn't say a word while he "protected" me, and I had no idea why he did this, but I didn't care while I grabbed hold of his vest and closed my eyes, making sure that I didn't pull the trigger of my gun.

He pulled me behind him and twisted around so that he was blocking me from the view of anyone, even though there was no way that they could see us because we couldn't see them.

His ass is going to be mine after we are done with stupid thing... I thought while I gritted my teeth together and closed my eyes all the way instead of having them part way. He does not need to do this for me.

But I didn't pull away...

I had no idea why I didn't pull away from him, even though I could really care less about the dying that was happening near us, but for some reason I didn't, and I couldn't help but silently admit to myself that it felt nice to be protected...

Finally, the gurgling sound stopped while the person died, and Timothy relaxed his grasp from around my back, but he kept me in the same position while he waited for something else to happen.

There was a small sigh of relief and then a bit of a groan of pain while the remaining Addisan started to move toward us.

"Shit," Timothy muttered under his breath and moved me until I was fully behind him, shushing me with a single look while I opened my eyes and opened my mouth to say something about this. He narrowed his eyes and scowled, and I closed my mouth and pursed my lips in annoyance before he turned his attention back to what was happening, taking off the safety while he grabbed the gun and got ready to shoot at the alien.

I held back an eye roll and did the same thing, protecting his back. I had no idea why he didn't let me stay up front, but I didn't care while we waited for the Addisan to appear in front of us and decide what they wanted to do.

There was another groan closer to us, and Timothy took a step back, pushing me back as well, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes and scowl, pressing my lips into a thinner line.

The other Addisan stopped before they were close enough for us to see them and for them to see us. "I am unarmed," they said, and there was this shifting sound as if they raised their hands in surrender. "Are you all right, Your Highness? I am sorry if I scared you. I didn't mean to and only did that so that I can help protect you for your father."

There was another pause before they cleared their throat and shifted on their feet before they bowed, submitting to us, earning a small gasp of shock from Timothy. "For I follow him as my king and not the man that you call your grandfather."
