“Hyung, do you think Jiyun is alright?”
That's the same question minho had on his mind, normally he thought she was only going through a depressed phase, but after close observation, he had also noticed Jiyun was keeping something away from them. He did not know for sure, but he knew it had something to do with her aunt. The black haired always gets anxious whenever she was mentioned, Jiyun had scratches and bruises all over her body and whenever he'd ask, Jiyun would blame it on her clumsiness.
Big lie: they've known each other long enough for Minho to know she wasn't clumsy, she was one of the most careful people he knew.
“We should pay her a visit.”
“Jiyun said we can't without informing her.”
“She's gonna say ‘no’ either way, let's just go,” Minho grabbed Hyunjin's collar, tugging him towards the other direction. He knew Hyunjin would protest, going along with Jiyun's wishes, but they had to make sure she was okay. Somehow she had missed two days of school and they hadn't heard from her, it wouldn't hurt to pay her a visit, right?
“Minho no! Jiyun is gonna be mad at us!” Hyunjin kept whining, trying to break free from the older's grasp. “Nah, she's gonna be mad at us again!”
“You nag too much,” Minho halted right in front of Jiyun's door. “Watch, she'll be delighted to see us,” he beamed, knocking on the door a few times, a fretting Hyunjin behind him.
Slowly, the door creaked open. “Minho?” Jiyun's breathy voice resonated from inside, her hand lingering on the doorknob. “What are you guys doing here?”
“It was Minho's idea, I swear!” Hyunjin tried defending himself.
“Aren't you gonna invite us in?” Minho frowned, pushing himself in anyways, a bemused Jiyun standing agape behind him. “How rude of you, Ji.”
“What? I'm not rude,” Jiyun groaned, going after him. She placed her hands on his back, trying to push him out. When she successfully did, a fascinated Hyunjin stood next to the wall filled with photos, gazing at them.
“Is this you? You look really adorable!” he peeked, pointing at a picture hung on the wall.
“Yes, it's me. No, I'm not adorable, please leave,” Jiyun did the same to him, pushing the black haired out of the house. She shut the door heaving a sigh, only to see Minho walking out of her kitchen, a bag of chips in his grasp. “Didn't I kick you out?”
“Uh... You did? But I got in again, cause I'm annoying like that.”
Jiyun grunted under her breath, grabbing his arm tight and was ready to toss him out, when she approached the door, Hyunjin was already in yet again. “Why are you guys here?”
“Cause you weren't at school,” Hyunjin retorted.
“My aunt is totally gonna flip if you sees you!” Jiyun paced back and forth, burying her face in her hands, her voice muffled and low.
“Does your aunt hurt you?” Minho spoke ever so casually. He wanted to do that, ask without a warning so he could get an unrehearsed reaction from her and he did.
Jiyun was caught off guard, slowly shaking her head as she thought of an excuse, or a way to divert the topic. “I- uh... I'm sick.”
“Did you take your medication?” it was no stranger to both her friends that Jiyun would fall sick, way more frequently than she should, but it had been too excessive lately.
“No Jinnie, I couldn't find it,” Jiyun sighed.
“You mean this medication?” the brunet pulled out a white container from his bag, the same one that fell out of hers when she was in a hurry.
Jiyun gasped lowly, a small smile invading her lips. “Yes, thank you. How did you find it?”
Minho shrugged. “It fell off your bag, that's why I wanted to visit.”
Hyunjin who had been staring that the familiar bottle, creased his brows. His mom was working with a patient that took that exact kind and she had explained a lot to him, for him to know what it was for.
“Are you sure that's yours?” he asked.
