Dear Diane.

Steph is obsessed.

She has this entire schedule for us to start research. She stayed up all night coming up with it. We will start on Sunday and go through what we can on the internet, then we will do a spirit session with her equipment to try to ask Charles some questions, then we will cross reference his answers with what we can find online and at the library. The first thing is to see if Charles has a last name, when he was born, and when he died.

I am already a little overwhelmed, but I am happy that she wants to help so badly. It's cute.

Charles also has been really casual? As casual as a ghost can be, I guess. He has really just been watching me throughout the house, always about 5 to 10 feet away, while I mill around and live life. He also isn't a tall black figure anymore. He looks more, I don't know, human? He looks like he did back at the hotel, and for some reason his features are getting more clear the more he shows himself. It's been an interesting development, and he is definitely not as scary as he was before.

I wonder if he looks like himself to everyone, or just me?

Anyway, Steph is coming over after work and we are going to watch some movies, maybe cuddle. Apparently she's never played pokemon (excuse me, what kind of world is she living in??) so I think I'll show her some of the games and see if she wants to try playing it.

Anyway, that's really it for today. I am going to try to catalog everything we learn about Charles here, so I can go back to it later. This journal has really become a lifeline to myself, in a way.

I'm actually really happy, despite everything.
