“Hyung, I’ve been waiting for you for an hour! What took you so long?” Jungkook’s voice echoed softly as he stepped inside, finding Taehyung already crouched by the door, slipping on his shoes. Beside him, Jungkook sat swinging his little legs, eyes bright with impatience.
“So,” Jungkook leaned against the frame, arms crossed but lips tugging into a faint smile, “where are we going first?”
“The beach,” Taehyung replied without hesitation, glancing up at him. “Didn’t you say you missed it? We’ll go there first, then maybe stop for dinner at a small restaurant, and—”
“Have ice cream!” Jungkook interrupted, his eyes lighting up like a kid, the spark making Taehyung’s lips curve into a fond smile.
“And your banana milkshake too,” Taehyung added softly.
At that, Jungkook’s body burst with excitement. He threw his arms around Taehyung’s neck, planting a quick kiss on his cheek. Taehyung chuckled under his breath, his hand instinctively rising to stroke Jungkook’s hair with tender affection.
“Alright then,” he murmured, warmth lingering in his tone as he rose to his feet, “let’s go.”
Together, the both of them stepped out, the quiet evening air waiting to wrap around their laughter.
