Daegon
Daegon stormed back towards the house, the remainder of the Vulgulfs fled once they smelled defeat, Treyton pressing to go after the remaining few. Daegon knew it were no coincidence this pack chose to attack right when Trixa fled with the human woman; he needed to be here when his healer returned.
Daegon headed up the stairs, his foot touching the stone halfway up when an unfamiliar burst of pain ripped through his chest, causing the Alpha to fall to one knee. Treyton appeared at his side in a flash, calling his name, voice sounding as if under water.
What the hell was happening?
Aiyanna's face flashed in his mind, her defiant eyes causing his stomach to flip, but it faded much quicker than before, leaving a sour after taste. Daegon spun around, eyes locking on the city beyond the forest. With slight irritation he realised what this meant - the mate bond, calling out in desperation she were dying. Concern and anguish surged through him, regret soon following knowing he played a part in robbing her strength; he pushed her to hard, now her life were ebbing away.
His wolf howled in protest, wanting to go after her, to save their mate. Daegon clenched his fists, pushing away the desperate plea's; his pack needed his attention. Through the pack link Daegon instructed Blayde to accompany Treyton in scouting the boarder, ordering Trixa be brought to him if she were discovered, Blayde appearing swiftly. Treyton hesitated, uncertainty rippling through his beta - with a hard glance from his Alpha the pair headed towards the forest, five others in tow.
Daegon returned to his study, body heavy and mind constantly wondering back to Aiyanna. His wolf growl once more in disgust, withdrawing completely into his mind and doing the unthinkable - he blocked Daegon's access to his wolf form. Rage, betrayal, frustration and guilt flowed through his body, one after the other. He needed to sort out this mess before everything unraveled further.

A few hours passed before Daegon noted Trixa's presence rejoin the pack link. He watched her from the window gracefully stride towards the house, her eyes briefly flicking to the window Daegon peered out from. Without faltering she headed inside, the pack link now buzzing with activity when many sensed her presence.
Daegon turned from the window, coming around the front of the desk to lean against it, arms folded over his chest. He kept his emotions separate from the pack, resorting to the cold and ruthless demeanor they all knew he so well for. Trixa disobeyed him for the last time, her consistent need to go against his commands reaching the limit of his patience.
The door to the study opened quietly, Trixa's pale hair practically glowing in the dim light. She stopped in front of Daegon, head slightly bowed, attempting to hide the fear radiating from her. Silence stretched between them, the air cold and hostile; Trixa broke the silence
"I had no other choic-"
"There remained many choices Trixa, you choose the one which fueled your own ego" Daegon snapped, cutting her off. She straightened, eyes locking with his, anger spiking
"It had nothing to do with ego. You left me with no choice because you refuse to listen to reason. She is your mate! Our Luna! I needed to show her we weren't raging savages locking he-" Daegon slammed his fist onto the desk
"You nearly cost the lives of three pack memb-" Daegon stopped mid sentence, chest squeezing tightly unable to draw breath, feeling as if a hot knife had been slipped between his ribs. Trixa rushed forward, grasping Daegon's arm, feeling the agony through their link. Slowly the pain subsided, a hollow feeling growing in it's place. He glanced at Trixa, breathing labored, noting her hard eyes and thin lips - Daegon caught a glimpse of the chaos his mate's powers were causing to her physical body, drawing strength from her life.
