Angelina's pov<>
It's been a week since I've been taking care of Tae. That night when i had fallen asleep while caressing his hairs I heard some coughing and felt movement on the bed which disturbed my slumber. When i slowly, almost unwillingly opened my eyes I saw Tae trying to take the glass of water from the nightstand but his hands were slightly shaking. I quickly got up from my side to reach him , sleep was long gone and worry had taken its place.
When I held the glass along with his warm, shaking hand I couldn't help but wince from the hot, burning sensation that I felt. He was burning with high fever again and this time it seemed worse. I recovered from the shock and quickly helped him drink water. His face looked so pale and he could barely open his eyes. And I made my decision that moment that I'd take him to the hospital and I did. I called an ambulance and packed few necessary stuff in a bag that I found in the closet while I was looking for a tshirt to make him wear when tae accidentally spilled some soup on his shirt earlier.
When ambulance arrived we didn't waste a second and rushed Tae in emergency because honestly it was getting hard to even breathe with the way his fce was getting paler each passing minute. It scared the shit outta me. I seriously didn't even knew how was I still not collapsing. For all I knew I had to be strong for Tae and that he'll be fine.
And thanks to God Tae has gotten alot better . Doctor told us he caught a viral fever and as he didn't take the necessary treatment earlier, things turned little serious. Not life threatening but it could still lead him to a bad condition .
Right now we are both at his place. He's on Couch watching some show while I'm in the kitchen, making food for us. And yes I didn't leave his side for a minute. I just couldn't bring myslf to. I was scared to even look away for a minute so I did what I felt was right and what my heart wanted to. I called my parents and told them that I need to stay with my friend who got sick and has no one to look after him. They were hesitant because I wouldn't tell them details but still understood and allowed me to. I can't thank god enough for giving me such lovely, understanding parents. I know they have questions but they trust me enough to wait for me to open up on my own and I'm greatful for that . I spoke to them on phone everyday though.
I had just finished making lunch and turned the gas off when I heard the ring of my phone and it read Jessica. It's been a week I haven't really spoke to anyone apart from my parents because my focus was solely on Tae. I almost forgot I even had a job. Gosh I didn't inform Jessica, shit ! Hope she's not that mad or fire me. Though I know I deserved it for the unprofessional behavior of mine but ugh one can hope.
"Oh hi jessica"... I said in a nervous tone as I picked her call.
"Hey there Angelina... how are you ?.." asked Jessica In a calm and gentle tone. Is she not mad at me ? Or am I really fucked ?
"I'm great. What about you?..." I asked still a little nervous.
"Oh I'm good too. I just wanted to check on you.. and when will you be coming back to work?..." asked Jessica .
"I'm so sorry I didn't inform you about the leaves Im taking. And I know its super unprofessional and if you want to fire me I'd understand that too. I'm so sorry Jessica. A friend of mine got sick and needed help. I forgot to inform you..." I replied all of it in one go.
"Hey hey Angelina... sweetie relax I didn't call you for that. Actually beth had a slight idea and told me so I wasn't totally unaware. Thought I'd admit it would've been nice to receive a call or text you but it's alright I understand . Is he okay now ?..." asked Jessica in a calm and gentle voice.
