When you're asked for help, be proud. Proud that God has chosen you to assist people. Don't feel as if you're doing them a favour. Rather they are giving you a chance to get more reward. A chance to be loved more by God.
Plus, who knows, maybe answering one's call for help might be reason God makes you successful in life. Or even the reason God opens the gates of Heaven for helping others.
And most importantly, may God accept all our efforts. Ameen♥
