A hospital in Japan...
"What were you thinking?!" Sei winced as he sat up on the hospital bed, staring at the form of his mother, who was currently fuming with anger. His father stood by her side, a worried expression on his face. "I swear to the gods above, young man! Oooh, when your sister hears about this..."
"Don't tell her, please..." Sei replied weakly, a pleading expression evident on his face as he looked at his parents. "I'm sorry already, alright? There's no need to bother Onee-chan with all of this..."
"Like it or not, Sei-chan, she's your sister," his father explained, placing a hand on the bed. "She deserves to know."
Sei only shook his head in response, clenching the folds of the hospital blanket covering his legs. "I don't want to add more to her plate. She's busy enough as it is."
He looked up at them, a pleading look in his eyes. "Please don't tell her..."
Sei's mother could only sigh in response, rubbing a palm over her face, an exasperated look forming as she stared at her son. "What am I going to do with you? Get some rest, okay? I don't want to hear from the nurse that you've been doing anything strenuous."
"Hai~" Sei muttered, a hint of relief in his voice. He knew how much his sister cared about him and how protective she could be. The last thing he wanted was to cause her any more stress, especially when she was so far away from home, idol work was not something to scoff at.
His mother gave him one last stern look before she and his father left the room, leaving Sei alone with his thoughts. He crashed back onto the bed, staring at the open window. "I'm in deep shit..."
As the reality of his situation sank in, Sei's eyelids grew heavy, and soon, the darkness embraced him as he drifted off to sleep.

Stadium Locker Room
"What do you mean?!" Isagi's voice rang out, filled with anger and disbelief, his eyes boring straight into Jinpachi Ego's.
"You all heard me clearly," Ego replied calmly, his expression unchanging as he stared at the group of boys in front of him. Each one of them was clearly distraught, struggling to process the news they had just received. "Sei-san's injury is serious. He will be able to walk again, but doing something strenuous like playing football may risk him breaking his legs again, permanently disabling him."
"No..." Kunigami mouthed silently, his eyes wide as he stared at the ground, trying to comprehend the gravity of the situation. "Y-You're saying that...?"
"I'm sure you all understand my point," Ego continued, his tone uncharacteristically solemn. "Minatozaki Sei will be officially removed from the roster. As much as I hate to say it, this was requested by his parents. The decision is final and irrevocable."
"Fuck this!" Bachira suddenly stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him with a force that echoed through the hallway.
"Bachira, wait!" Chigiri called out, his voice tinged with desperation as he rushed after him, Isagi and Kunigami following shortly after. The atmosphere in the room was thick with tension, the reality of Sei's situation hanging heavily over them.
Ego watched them leave, his usual cold demeanor cracking ever so slightly. He let out a deep sigh, slumping back against the wall, running a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry, boys," he muttered under his breath, his voice barely audible. He knew how much Sei meant to the team, not just as a player, but as a friend. The decision had been a difficult one, but it was the only choice they had.
Outside the room, Isagi, Chigiri, and Kunigami caught up with Bachira, who had stopped in the middle of the hallway, his fists clenched tightly at his sides.
