Godspeed is the 16th track in Frank Ocean's last album Blond, released in 2016. It has over 360 million streams on Spotify, and is one of his most popular songs on the album.
The song is about Frank leaving a lover in a respectful way. "I will always love you, how I do, let go of my claim on you." To wish someone godspeed is to wish them good fortune on the start of a new journey, and this journey would be the couple splitting up.
Letting go is one of the final steps of healing. When you're able to rid yourself of bitterness and wish someone well, that's true growth. The acceptance of a persisting love, and not allowing it to turn into hatred, gives us the impression Frank Ocean has used Blond to cope, and we're finally on the other side of his broken heart.
