"Let's go, shall we?" The azure asked, clearly wanting to get out a little. I felt a small smile creep onto my muzzle as I stood up from my chair. I followed him out the door and observed him. He was a lot more relaxed compared to the past few days, which made me happy.
Grabbing my hand, Sonic looked at me with eyes full of excitement and warmth.
"And.. where exactly are we going?" I asked.
"I dunno!" Sonic beamed, before pulling me along with him.

[ 3rd Person ]
Shadow yelped as Sonic dragged him along with him. The two ran down a few sidewalks, across some streets, and eventually ended up in a spacious park.
Sonic slowed down, looking around and taking in the scenery. He looked at the ebony with an excited glance.
"This was my favorite place to come to as a kid." He said with a warm smile. "It was where I went to kinda blow off some steam, or to calm down."
Blow off some steam? Shadow thought. Sonic was the last person he'd expect to have to "blow off some steam." The dark furred hedgehog's attention was back on the azure as he waved a hand in front of the other's face.
"Earth to Ultimate Lifeform..." Sonic teased, a string of giggles emerging from his lips. "C'mon, I have something I need to show you!" He beamed.

Shadow found himself being dragged along by the blue hedgehog, again. But if he was being completely honest, he didn't really mind. Seeing Sonic happy made him happy, although he would never admit it to his face.
He thought to himself as Sonic pulled him by the arm. He thought about the first time the two hedgehogs met. It felt so bizarre how different the two's relationship was since then. Somehow Shadow had gone from being unable to stand the azure, to feeling empty without him. It made no sense.
"We're here." Sonic announced, a wide grin forming on his face. As he reconnected with reality, Shadow stopped, awe evident on his face as he took in the sight before him. Flower's flooded a large part of the field they had come too, glowing golden as the sunlight spilled over them.
Sonic chucked to himself, tilting his head. "It's still one of my favorite spots, even though I'm older now.."
Shadow could definitely see the appeal, all sorts of plants and blooming colors were in sight. "It's beautiful." He fawned.
"Heh... I know right," Sonic bent down to pick a small bud of lavender, holding it up to the ebony. "this one kinda reminds me of you!"
"Is that so?" Shadow chuckled. "And why is that?"
"Well..." Sonic murmured, examining the bud up close.
"It's put together, tall... and it has a sense of calmness to it, even though you can't see it right away." Sonic locked eyes with Shadow, making his face grow warm.
"It reminds me of you because.." Sonic started, walking forward a little bit. "at first, you seem more closed off, serious, and cocky,"
Shadow watched as the azure placed the bud into the others hand, closing his palm over it. "but your caring to the ones you care about under it all."
