Okay, here's a new chapter! Hope you like it! Shit's about to go down, just sayin'. We're soon coming to an end :P
And wattpad keeps connecting the words I have pasted in and I have tried to fix it again, so if you find any, just know that it isn't intentional ;)
One thing I learned this morning was: when it rained here, it really rained.
My hair was dripping and I was soaked to the bone because Riley's stupid cabriolet had a small malfunction today: the roof wouldn't close. I had stomped out of the car before him like I usually did these days and entered the school building alone but he was still right behind me.
Yes, our fight was getting tiring, but my stubborn self was not giving in. It just wasn't an option. If he didn't like Hunter, then fine, that was his problem. I wasn't going to leave my new boyfriend because my jerk of a almost-brother couldn't handle it.
"I HATE YOU, YOU FUCKING SCUM BAG!"
I almost had to cover my ears, that's how loud the voice was. The shrill sound carried well down the quickly emptying corridor. Because of Riley's car mishap this morning, we lost twenty minutes in trying to fix it and it was two minutes until class started. But I recognized the voice, I couldn't just let it go.
"You're a murderer!" I saw Chloe jab her finger into a chest. Hunter's chest. "You killed her! It's your fault!"
I ran to were they stood, grabbing Chloe's wrist gently and prying her hand from his shirt. I stared pleadingly at them, wanting an explanation.
"What the fuck is happening?" I heard a voice shout from behind. Riley came to stand beside me, arms crossed and lips pursed.
"I don't fucking know, man," Hunter scoffed exasperatedly. "I was getting my books and your crazy ass girlfriend came and went mental!"
"Hunter!" It was my voice this time. I was shocked to hear the words coming out of his mouth. I knew he could be mean, but right infront of me, to my closest friend at the school? Really?
"She is not crazy!" Riley defended. I watched his hurt expression as it morphed into anger.
"Then what did you tell her?!"
"I didn't tell her anything!"
My head whipped back and forth between the two guys, their faces suddenly lighting up as if they were connecting the dots. I was more confused than I had ever been during my stay here. What was going down? What had just gone down?
They both stared at Chloe, pushing her to speak. And she did.
"Yeah, that's right," she mocked. "I know exactly what happened to her. What happened to your girlfriend, your sister."She looked at Hunter, then Riley. "But should she know?" They suddenly remembered my presence, all watching me carefully as if I might burst.
"Know what?" I asked, looking at them all pleadingly but Hunter just shook his head and grabbed my hand.
"Come," he said. "You don't need to know." I halted in my steps at his words.
"I don't need to know?" I scoffed and let go of his hand. He just stared blankly at me, not uttering a single word. I jutted out my chin and held the strap of my handbag with my hand "Fine then. I have a class to go to." I marched away from the three of them, holding in the angry tears.
God, why were there so many secrets?
***
It was frustrating.
Like, why wasn't I worthy enough to know the truth? Why wouldn't Hunter tell me what happened? Could it be that bad? Or was it just a top secret secret? Why did I feel so left out?
