Chapter Nine: The Showdown

Gingka defeated HD Bladers and continued to run to the tower with the others. As they continued running, security walls appear out of the ground to stop them, but Kyoya destroyed them with his beyblade. More security walls come up, but Masamune destroyed them with his beyblade. When they make it to the tower, Gravity Destroyer AD145WD changes the gravity to stop them. Sophie uses her special, Grand Malestrom, to stop Gravity Destroyer. She told the others to go on while she and Wales battle Julian.
The others went into the lobby, but Dashan stayed outside to watch the battle. While Madoka hacks the computers to find where to go, more HD Bladers launched their Beys at them and Gingka, Kyoya, Henito, Sandra, Tsubasa, Sora, Masamune, and Yu launch theirs as well. Madoka continued to hack the computer and finds the Spiral Core, while the others finish off the HD Bladers. Gingka noticed that Dashan is about to battle Julian and decided to go on to the Spiral Core. But they were forced to split up to find the Core into three different paths. Gingka, Kyoya, and Masamune partnered up with each other. Henito, Sandra, and Sora partnered up each other. Lastly, Tsubasa partnered up with Madoka and Yu.
But just as Sandra was about to head out, she was surprised to feel the warm and yet gentle grip of Kyoya. She turned to look at him curiously. There seemed to be a hidden message in his eyes, but didn't have the courage to say it yet.
"Stay safe Sandra," Kyoya said softly.
"I will." Sandra nodded with a gentle smile.
Kyoya hesitantly released his grip on her hand and let her run away with her two chosen companions.
Tsubasa, Yu, and Madoka go through a hallway and see paintings on the wall with Beyblades as the eyes. They find the arrangement system and Jack is inside of it. Jack finished his arrangement and come out of it, challenging Tsubasa to a battle. Yu went inside the arrangement, thinking its a bed and gets stuck in there. Gingka, Kyoya, and Masamune were cornered by HD Bladers, but they defeat them. The similar situation happened with Henito, Sandra and Sora, but they managed to defeat the HD Bladers and freed the prisoners from the rooms. The trio encouraged for them to leave while they handled the mess. Madoka tried to get Yu out of the arrangement system. Tsubasa and Jack launched their Beys and both clash. Jack use his special move, Befall The Ripper, to make a statue out of Tsubasa. Evil Befall UW145EWD goes through a pillar to attack Earth Eagle 145WD and Jack names the pillar, Practice Piece. Eagle attacks Befall and sends it into a pillar. Jack has Befall go through through another pillar to attack Eagle and names his third art, Distress. Evil Befall goes through all the pillars and Earth Eagle dodged the broken pieces. Befall sends Eagle through a pillar and continues to attack. Jack regrets that his true masterpiece couldn't be fulfill at the World Championships. Tsubasa asks him can he understand the regret he had of not being able to battle at the final battle. Evil Befall continues to push back Earth Eagle. Yu launches Flame Libra T125ES and uses his special move, Inferno Blast, to get out of the arrangement. Tsubasa uses his special move, Shining Tornado Buster, and Jack uses his second special move, Beautiful Dead. Both special moves clash and Tsubasa defeats Jack. The pillars fall apart and Jack gets angry and Tsubasa named it, "The Peacock Gets Plucked." Jack goes to get another arrangement, but Yu destroyed it with his beyblade's special move. Tsubasa, Yu, and Madoka leave to go find Spiral while Jack cried over the destroyed arrangement system.

Sandra was running through the hallway by herself. She, Hinote, and Sora were forced to split up into three separate hallways to confuse the HD Bladers. But as she continued running, she heard the running footsteps of another. Sandra stepped back warily and gotten her launcher ready to fire.
But stepping out of the shadows was a boy around her age. The boy is tall and semi-strong teenager with light skin. He has long spiky brown hair pulled back into a short ponytail with beige highlights and piercing sky-blue eyes. He was wearing a flashy, unzipped black suit with metal pads on his wrists, knees, shoulders, and outer thighs. He also has on a purple collar, with purple highlights and a red shirt underneath. He soon spotted her, surprised to see an unfamiliar Blader in front of him.
Sandra eyed him with wary curiosity. "Who the heck are you?"
"I'm Zeo Abyss," said the boy. 
"Sandra Wilde." Sandra raised an eyebrow at him and fixed a sharp stare on him. "Are you going to get out of here or...?"
"What are you doing here?" Zeo asked Sandra.
"Settling a score and trying to stop the mess that Ziggurat had created," stated Sandra dryly. Zeo looks down in shame and she let out a weary sigh. "Zeo, I know you thought you were doing what's best for Toby and didn't realize you were being used, and I forgive you for that."
Zeo hugged her, which surprised her. "I shouldn't have said any of the things I said to everyone and I hope we can go back to being friends." Zeo laid his head on her shoulder as Sandra processed everything he said.
"Absolutely, Zeo, but next time you need help — contact me or my mates." Sandra chuckled and rubbed his back soothingly.
At that, the two of them both separated from each other and ran into separate passageways. Zeo ran towards the direction of where "Faust" or Toby was being held at while Sandra was running towards the secret rooms and freed the wrongly captured Bladers while convincing them to make a run for it.
"Thirty seconds until meltdown."
Sandra raced back to where she was before, figuring that she was bound to run into someone soon. Please, let me run into him. As though Lady Luck was listening to her, Sandra spotted Kyoya, Tsubasa, and Yu ahead of her with Hinote and Sora.
"Kyoya!" Sandra called.
All of a sudden, the alarm was no longer going off. The five turned around and Sandra caught up to them.
Kyoya grunted. "What took you so long?"
Sandra smirked at him. "Why? Were you worried?"
Kyoya clucked his tongue and looked away from her. "No." But Sandra sensed that Kyoya lied about it and seemed slightly embarrassed.
In front of her, Madoka and Gingka were gradually making their way towards them, Gingka being supported by Madoka. They all sprinted to them.
"Madoka!"
"Gingka!"
"Hey, guys." Madoka greeted, and Sandra could tell the both of them were exhausted.
"Gingky! Madoka!"
Tsubasa sighed in relief. "You're both okay."
"Everyone's safe now," proclaimed Gingka.
Relieved, Sandra assumed Gingka was the one who stopped the meltdown. "Everyone, follow me. I know the way out from here." Everybody followed her as she found the route back to the entrance of HD Academy. She was glad to finally step out of the building, and she planned on never returning. Once everyone exited, she was greeted by the rest of their friends.
"Is everybody alright?" Ryo asked.
"Look, it's Kenji and everybody! Hey!" yelled Yu.
Kenta and Benkei hurried over to where you stood.
"Hey, guys!" shouted Kenta.
"Kyoya, buddy! I'm so glad you two are safe." exclaimed Benkei, and Sandra internally admitted to be happy about seeing him again.
"We were able to rescue Toby too!" A voice announced, and they all turned to see that it was Masamune's. Him and Zeo were supporting Toby to walk, who appeared to have returned to normal. "Everything's okay now."
"It looks like everything worked out just fine, kids. Good job, everybody!" Ryo said with a grateful smile.
"Yeah, it was all because Pegasus kept going until the very end, as usual," said Gingka.
"Gingka, where is Pegasus?" inquired Madoka.
"Pegasus..." Gingka looked towards the sky, and outstretched his hand. Moments later, it appeared that Pegasus was flying down, returning to Gingka. "I put you through a tough task again. Thank you, Pegasus."
"Oh my, you managed to wear it out again, huh? But I'll fix it up for you right away," informed Madoka. "I still can't believe your power was actually able to increase its level at the last moment. You are amazing."
"Tsubasa, is it just me, or does it look like Gingky has left us in the dust once again?" grumbled Yu. "And gotta change my undies."
"Well then, how about going on a little training journey?" Tsubasa suggested with a knowing smile.
"That sounds awesome!" exclaimed Yu brightly.
"So, once again, you kept all the good action for yourself. It's a real drag," remarked Kyoya.
Gingka shook his head. "No, I wasn't alone."
"Say what?" Kyoya gazed at Gingka.
Gingka seemed to remember a sudden moment. "Him again..."
"Just what are you rambling on about over there?" Kyoya faced Gingka, proclaiming. "As soon as Pegasus is fixed, it's on!"
"That's right! Next time, Kyoya will win!" bellowed Benkei.
"Okay, you guys, bring it on!" Gingka excitedly agreed.
"Wait one minute, you have to battle me too, Gingka," Masamune said. "Sorry, but from now on, I'll be with Zeo and Toby as part of 'Team Dungeon', baby! Aiming for number one!"
"Masamune!" Madoka fumed. "Come on! What about Gan Gan Galaxy for goodness sake? You're always so totally self-centered!"
"It's okay," Gingka assured her. "The more rivals, the more interesting it will be."
"Gingka?" Madoka was surprised at that.
"Madoka, everyone here comes from different walks of life," Sandra said to Madoka wisely. "And there's no shame in it. We each battled for something we believed in. Masamune did it to help Toby receive his dreams of re-becoming a Blader too." Sandra smiled empathetically at the determined boy and his two friends. "Just like my dreams of returning to the Blading World again."
"Listen, I won't give up my spot as number one without a fight, you understand me?" Gingka said challengingly to everyone.
"So we figured," responded Masamune with a smile.
"I'll battle you sometime!" Sandra joined in with a smile.
"I won't give up without a fight either!" Kenta claimed.
"B-b-b-bull! Count me in too!" exclaimed Beneki.
"I can't wait!" exclaimed Gingka. "I want another World Championship to start tomorrow, if not sooner!"
"Come on, guys, let's go. Let's move before this city sinks into the ocean," Hikaru added.
"Once we get back, training for the next World Championship begins," Ryo added with a proud smile.
"Yeah!" Everyone cheered.
