**TESSA LOCKWOOD'S POV**
In the bustling city of New York, we gather for my sister Emily's funeral. Emily, my beloved sister, was found dead in her apartment, and it appeared to be due to an accidental overdose. But I can't shake the feeling that someone, particularly Clyde Aguirre, might have a connection to her tragic passing.
Emily harbored a profound admiration for Clyde, despite his playboy reputation in the media, indicating a disinterest in serious relationships. Despite my warnings about Clyde's playboy tendencies, Emily chose to date him, eventually becoming so fixated that when Clyde ended their relationship, she struggled immensely to move on. Despite my attempts to provide guidance, she found it challenging to detach herself emotionally. A few months later, while I was in Australia visiting Grandpa, I received a devastating call about Emily's untimely death, attributed to a case of overdose.
I harbor a deep resentment towards Clyde because, in my view, he is the primary reason behind my sister's passing.
Since our parents' tragic accident, Emily and I have been each other's main support along with our grandfather who loved us so dearly. They left us with family wealth, and as the older sister, I took on the responsibility of looking after her. Emily was more carefree and enjoyed the company of her wealthy friends, living life to the fullest. Things changed when she fell for Clyde, but it didn't go the way she hoped. His lack of reciprocal feelings left Emily hurt and struggling to come to terms with it.
I had to pay the media to hide this news. I didn't want Clyde or the Aguirres to be aware of this since Clyde is so clueless about me. I bet he doesn't even know that Emily had a sister, since I'm just not a social media person.
I watch as her casket goes down into the grave. I can't help but sob. Oh, Emily, why did you leave me.
After the burial, I stand before family and a few friends, my voice quivering as I share heartfelt words about my beloved sister. I speak of her infectious laughter, her unwavering kindness, and the countless memories we shared. Through teary eyes, I express the immense loss felt by her departure, and how her spirit will forever remain cherished in our hearts.
Before I leave, when everyone is gone, I take a last glance at my sister's grave which is just beside my parents' grave, I wipe my tears, "I will make him suffer, I promise you little sister, Clyde will pay for this."

**A YEAR LATER**
**CLYDE AGUIRRE'S POV**
The opulent dining room in our family estate is a picture of grandeur. The table is set impeccably, radiating a sense of formality softened by the warmth of familial affection.
My family surrounds me: Spencer, my responsible older brother, his wife Mia with Neo, their nearly two-year-old son, and Astra, the embodiment of charisma and success. Our parents, Octavius and Aurora, the pillars of the Aguirre empire, exude an air of elegance and authority.
The clinking of cutlery punctuates the room as we enjoy the sumptuous feast laid before us. Neo, seated in his specially-crafted high chair, is engrossed in his attempts to feed himself, his delighted babbling filling the air.
"Mia, look at Neo! He's trying so hard to feed himself!" I find myself smiling at the adorable sight as Mia gently guides Neo's hand, his attempts at independence bringing genuine delight to the family.
The pride and joy emanating from my parents as they watch their grandson's attempts at self-feeding are palpable. It's a simple moment, yet one of unfiltered happiness that lights up the room.
Neo's laughter rings out, drawing everyone's attention. Astra playfully tousles his hair, resulting in an explosion of giggles from the little one. Spencer glances at me, a silent acknowledgment of my presence in these precious family moments.
