CLYDE'S AGUIRRE POV

As I wake up the next morning, the bed is empty, and Tessa is nowhere to be found. I find myself wondering where she could be. Just as curiosity starts to creep in, a door opens, revealing Tessa holding a tray full of breakfast. A warm smile graces her face as she walks in, and in that moment, I can't help but notice how incredibly beautiful she looks.

She sets the tray on the bedside table, and the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sight of a delicious breakfast make my stomach growl. Tessa's smile widens as she notices my reaction, and she gestures toward the food.

"Good morning, Clyde. I thought you might be hungry, so I made us some breakfast," she says, her voice carrying a gentle tone.

I sit up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes, and admire Tessa's efforts. The spread includes scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and a selection of fresh fruits. The inviting smell fills the room, creating an atmosphere of comfort and warmth.

"You didn't have to do all this," I say, genuinely touched by her thoughtful gesture.

Tessa takes a seat next to me on the bed, her eyes locking onto mine. "Consider it a small repayment for tiring you last night. Besides, I enjoy cooking, and I wanted to do something nice for you."

"I never knew you could cook; it smells delicious from here," I say with a grin. Tessa chuckles and shakes her head.

"I can cook for the world, my love. Now come on, eat up; you must be starving."

"Aren't you going to eat with me? "

"I will eat after a shower, my love, so worry not. I am sure once I am done with the shower, you will be done with breakfast, so while you take a shower, I will be having breakfast too. You know me..."

"Yeah, you normally like taking breakfast after a shower."

"Exactly. In fact, we need to get ready for work. I am sure we both have a busy day ahead."

"Then I guess we should save time. Let's have a shower together, and we will eat breakfast together."

"Oh Clyde, I know when you look at me like that..."

"It's actually economic, believe me."

Tessa laughs, her eyes sparkling with a playful glint. "Economic, huh? Well, if it's for the sake of efficiency, I suppose we can give it a try. But no funny business, Mr. Efficiency Expert."

Of course, I never kept my word, we had two rounds in the bathroom until we were both sated, we quickly dressed up and took our breakfast before leaving for work.

After settling into my office, I take a moment to reflect on last nigt's exchange with Tessa. Realizing that I may have overreacted, I decide to make amends. I reach for the phone and call my secretary.

"Hey, Susan, it's Clyde. Can you do me a favor?"

"Of course, sir. What do you need?"

I explain, "I want to send a surprise to Tessa's office at the House of Elle. Can you arrange for 1000 roses to be delivered, along with a note? Please write, 'I'm sorry for overreacting. You mean the world to me, and I love you more than words can say. You're the best thing that ever happened to me.'"

Susan chuckles, "A romantic gesture, Sir? That's a first! But sure, I'll get it done right away. Anything else?"

"Thanks, Susan. That's all for now."

With the gesture set in motion, I return to my work, hoping that the surprise will convey my sincere apologies and love to Tessa. The day continues, filled with anticipation for the evening when we can reconnect and share the joys of our busy lives.
