chapter two

He stared at her sticked to his spot like glue, his eyes moistened "love?" He called out while looking at her with his wobbling lips, tears threatening to escape from his eyes, his tone uneven and shaky, his words barely a whisper

She spoke nothing but stared at him, her eyes staring deep into his soul with her piercing gaze,as he watched her with growing impatience, taking a step closer he tried to hold her hand once again but failed to do so increasing the ache in his heart, he stared back into her eyes but looked down trying to hide his tears.

She let out a soft sigh keeping her palm on his, a soft touch, he could feel it as a tear slid his cheek "Don't cry" she spoke softly "can you really see me?" He whispered in disbelief, she gave a slight nod, the usual headache resurfacing as she slightly held it groaning a bit in pain,

She took steps towards him closing the gap as she took him in a embrace, uncountable tears fell as his heart felt at peace, he tried to hug her back but couldn't yet her soft touch that gave him warmth was enough, he wasn't too greedy right now because he was able to feel her touch after what felt like an eternity , she softly traced her palm over his feathers "beautiful", she whispered as he shot his head back realising  that his wings had come out

She slowly backed away as he stared at her longing for her warmth again, she softly wiped away his tears "I had always sensed your presence and wished to see you like I did few years ago" she spoke softly while staring at him

His expressions fell as he asked her in a clearly worried tone"like few years ago?" She gave a slight nod and spoke "I can feel other presences too, but I had always felt them vanishing away quickly while your presence felt stronger", he furrowed his eyebrows with a frown "please don't tell me everything is repeating itself " he prayed inside his mind, "I tried to prevent it so hard but how?" He thought as a tint of fear surrounded his heart, slowly engulfing it.

Flashback

He stared with admiration and pure love in his eyes at the 5 year old girl, running here and there around the cherry blossom tree trying to catch a beautiful butterfly, her soft giggles echoed through his ears as he grinned while watching her

His wings coming out suddenly while he watched in surprise

She stopped chasing the butterfly and then looked back, her eyes staring at his figure making him surprised, she smiled widely at him stretching her hand towards him, her dark orbs sparkling, she softly touched his feathers "Hey are you my angel?" She asked as he smiled kneeling down

He reached to caress her hair but couldn't, as his smile dropped, his hand went right through her hair as he looked down in sadness, she softly touched his cheek, poking it with her finger "tell me bunny angel" she whined while looking at him but pouted when a cherry blossom leaf fell on the tip of her nose as he smiled and looked at her with a nod while blowing air making the leaf fly away "that's true, I am your angel"

But the dread soon started, her cries reached his ears every night and he was there for her, she sobbed uncontrollably while being in his embrace on her own, he couldn't hug back but whispered soothing words

The dark creatures came for her every night from which he protected her, but how long?

He managed to stop it and that truth was hidden inside in the very depth of his mind, he wiped her memories of the creatures but at what cost?

Flashback ends

He felt his world dripping apart while watching her, he didn't want to see her in the same torment again.

she felt the piercing pain in her head, a pain that made it felt like her head was splitting into half.

He wanted to caress her cheek and hug her, she knew it, she shot a soft smile at him "it's okay, don't worry about me I am fine, I can take the pain if it means seeing you", he stared into her orbs turning into purple, a soft gasp as he stared at her closing her eyes before leaning against her car

The soft wind making her hairstrands sway and cover her face from his view, she stared back at him with her shallow breath sucking in a deep breath, she took the camera and started her work while he stood worried

"you don't have to worry" she said noticing his lingering gaze on her, he walked closer as she clicked the pictures, her one eye closed as she focused on the screen.

A small smile was adorned on her lips while seeing the pictures "nature is really beautiful hmm" she spoke humming as he shot a slight smile at her "not more beautiful than you" he thought while giving a slight nod "what's your name, my angel?" She asked as an expression of surprise and amuse flashed through his face before he smiled "Jungkook"

"Jungkook" she whispered with a smile, a bit confused at the familiarity she felt with it as she tilted her head staring at him, they stared at each other in serenity, lost in each other, but the moment got disturbed by a call as she fisted out her pocket lifting the call "hey" she whispered as an happy and excited voice spoke "I love you so much Ynie, thank you for these gifts" his soft giggles echoed as she let out a small laugh, but he clearly looked annoyed as she could hear the voice of his secretary calling him for meeting "it's okay, I know that's an important meeting, we can talk at night hmm" she said convincing him before he could speak

He hummed and unknowingly gave a slight nod as they bid each other bye, she continued her work while Jungkook just watched her with admiration, the one thing he can do forever was to stare at her and be beside her.

He stared at her, his face etched with concern while she turned back with a smile"i am done here, let's go" she said while grazing his fingers with hers

The day had passed peacefully, but how long can the peace last?

She stood in the shower taking a bath as he waited in her room, his orbs turning golden "taehyung" he whispered while mindlinking his friend, he remained silent not knowing where to start but took a deep breath initiating the conversation with his worried friend

"can you protect yn for few days? It has started again" his friend sighed "how long do you think you can hide it jungkook? How long do you think you can protect her by hiding these from her, she deserves to know about the danger that lurks" taehyung spoke, his tone laced in disappointment

Both were in silence when taehyung spoke again "don't make the same mistake again, you know what she can do, if only you never hid the truth" he stopped speaking as jungkook's ears perked up hearing her soft footsteps

That's when she came out, fully clothed but she seemed tense, fear etched on her face,making him frown and that's when he felt it, a dark creature's presence.
